Salt Fish & Chips

Fish and chips done really well! The entire crew were starving after some beach action, chips were were crisp, fish was fresh, no complaints here.

We had grilled Blue Grenadier with chips and the fish was excellent! We are at the beach on the other side of the road, and it was great. Very relaxing meal at the beach.

Crunchy chips excellent fish and alfresco tables right on the beach with a toilet across the road if needed. Family meals are well priced

We were craving fish and chips after a nice day at the beach and Salt Fish and Chips hit the spot. They have all of your standard fish and chip options, and to my surprise they also offer vegan dim sims and spring rolls. I got one of the vegan dim sims and they were delicious, I think home made!

Sensational and tasty burger with the lot and the sweet potato cakes were just as good. Will return upon our next trip to Dromana. Thanks

Had fish and chips for quick bite to eat, nice size fish and very tasty and chips were thick cut and nothing was greasy, staff smiling and friendly

Awesome old fashion hamburgers, chips were fresh and crispy, and the Chicken Schnitzel Burger with Cheese and Sweet Chilli sauce was yummy, just very filling.

Always quality product here delivered with quality service from people of quality. Well done guys.

Food is good but customer service is a bit abrupt and passive aggressive.which ruins the experience of the good food. You would think repeat customers would be treated better.since fish n chips is now 40 bucks.

Menu shown here is out of date - we paid $13 more for the family pack than what it said! Quite a difference!
Other than that, the fish & chips were lovely.

Im so disgusted in the customer service I received tonight. I didnt have an issue waiting 2 hrs for my food as i am a local so could go home and wait. I then return pick up my food all is good till i got home and realised i didnt get my chips. I go back down to see what happened and apparently i didnt order and thats fine thats my fault but the way the young girl pretty much through the ticket in my face and said no you didnt order it with such attitude on her face was disgusting and rude!
Will not be returning and will make sure people know of my experience here!

Best fish and chips in Dromana. Although the potato cakes are a little thin. They are often very busy and don't accept phone orders.

Absolute rubbish. I must congratulate this business for allowing my family and myself to experience the WORST fish and chips of my 50 years of existence. Disgraceful that the people cooking this rubbish thought it was suitable for consumption. Never seen anything like it, and obviously a complete waste of money. Oh, and in case you don't recognise what those oval discs are, they are supposed to be potato cakes.

Paid $12.50 for a piece of whiting that would have been 80grams at maximum. The fish was full of bones and large bits of something that felt like eating sea shells. Awful. Service was good tho.

Nice chips, decent fish, quick service. Even when they say it’s gonna be 20mins it usually is quicker. But also gives you the perfect opportunity to go dip your toes in the beach across the road while you wait for your order.

Visiting from the US and this place blows away any other fish and chips I’ve had. Very friendly and honest owner. Did not bribe me with free food or drink for a review. Also liked the fact that he used the tip I gave him to donate it to the local firefighters.

Came here, and had terrible service. Got a handful of chips for an absurd price, and potato cakes were more burnt than my profile picture. The dim sim meat was grey, and tasteless. Won't be returning

Use to be the best chips in Dromana, now the worst! Everything else was cooked and prepared to perfection, can’t fault them but they’ve definitely changed the quality of their chips which were also very greasy, and overcooked.

Disappointed today. Oil used was disgusting. Fish was tasteless maybe because it was so thinly cut. After spending $41 for 3 pieces of flake, 4 potato cakes and a handful of horrible chips I'd not bother going back.

Great fish and chips! The batter was very light and crisp and the fish was super fresh! We topped it up with an extra Barra grilled to perfection. The scallops add on were so yum - again the batter was a perfect counterpoint showcasing great seafood. 100% would come back again:)
