Salsas reviews
32 What a monumental rip off. A bowl of lettuce with a bit of chicken on top. And get charged extra because it’s in a bowl. Not fresh. Only good place for this is in the bin.
Service shocking.
Went to Southland to do some shopping and decided to have Salsas for dinner. The chips were amazing, so crispy and hot and my Mex Beef Burrito was perfect and hats off to the staff, they were busy but still very friendly, professional and the service was great. I will definitely be going back.
Ordered a Cali burrito…was one of the worse food we have eaten in a while. My burrito didn’t taste good at all! Chicken bits were fatty. Very strong taste of chipotle. Hubby got really bad food poisoning! Their food was much better a few years back. Wouldn’t recommend.
Food too salty. It's my second time trying and still it was too salty. The first time I went, thought it was just that day that the food was salty. Went the second time and it's still the same.
Smashing out 3.5 hours of late night shopping until closure so popped into the food court for a quick dinner. Sadly my chicken and guac burrito was cold open biting into it (unlike my husbands beef one which was piping hot) so I took it back and was told they had run out of lettuce. Not sure if they gave me a cold one that had been sitting there upon realising they had run out of lettuce or what happened but to suffice it to say when they remade it using lime rice as a lettuce substitute it did not taste the greatest. Fortunately the chips were yummy but a pretty disappointing experience
Have gone a few times as I am a fan of the cuisine but I find overall this place disappointing and really the only Mexican option now that Zombreo is gone
Burritos to much rice and beans not enough of the flavor winners
Fries often soggy and only redeemed by the salt
Overall for what you get I dont see value or get amazing taste
Salsas is what it is, basic Mexican fast food offerings, made fresh to order. Had nachos which were fine. I wasn't expecting to be blown away and I wasn't. The toppings fine but corn chips not best corn chips I've had. But was cheap, about $10, and I may try their black bean tacos next time. Note when we were there, after movies late one afternoon, food court was the emptiest I've seen, about 10 of us scattered around.
Second time asking for fresh chips
Asked for wxtra chicken
DENIED
How hard is communication
U have no issues taking my money making sure u charge me right
poor quality
Will never be back
The last few burritos I've ordered have been 90% black beans - wayy too many! Lay off the black beans. Also not enough sauce. Very bland compared to Guzman Y Gomez and other Mexican restaurants.
I drove 4 miles to get a burrito at this place as it was advertised as closing at 5pm and I arrived at 16.30 and it was closed. Very disappointed.
Absolutely fantastic service. Food was terrific well done to the friendliest team in Southland.
A bit obsessed with Salsa chips. Friendly and helpful staff. One of the picks of the food court.
Salsas don't sell actual 'Salsa' on their menu which I find a bit bizarre. The food is what you expect from a shopping centre eatery with average quality but eh portions are much less. Don't expect a full meal, but if you're after $25 small snack, then this could be the place you would consider. Frankly, the two star rating I gave is because the lady who took my order was very pleasant, otherwise it's a one star from me.
Went to Salsas, the girl on the POS saw my uniform and offered me the centre discount. She was great! Very friendly. Food was made promptly and was delicious. Top rate customer service!
THE WORST!
I waited 35 minutes for a freaking burrito only for them to get the order wrong! Literally one person making the food the rest were just standing around talking! It wasn’t an issue of being understaffed or anything, they just did not have any organisation or systems in place. They had a massive line of people waiting and didn’t seem to care how much they were upsetting customers or how slow they were. It looked like they were pretending to do things in order to not do anything. Get your act together Southland Salsas
Used to be really good once upon a time. Now the portions are very small for the high price you pay. My burrito had barely any chicken and full of rice. Zambrero Mexican near the cinemas is much better quality and value for money. Very disappointing, definitely will not be coming back.
Worst customer service ever. Totally unprofessional staff including managers. We came all the way to eat Mexican and these people closed the restaurant on our face and that too 1 hour early. Reason given was: there is less business so we dont want to keep it open for another hour. These guys definitely need to think from customers point of view. Definitely NOT RECOMMEND to anyone.
Salsas Mexican Restaurant is at times really good as well as being really disappointing at times, the food is pretty good the Potato Chips are amazing, which is strange for Chips to be the highlight on a Mexican menu.but anyway, the main issue with Salsas in Southland Shopping Centre is the inconsistencies with portion sizes and at times the quality of presentation, there is a lot of reasonably young staff so this isn't surprising, however when I am paying for Food with my hard earned money I expect just a little better sometimes, after all, this isn't McDonald's we are talking about.
There definitely needs to be some improvements made with the staffs work ethics, the customers soul experiences at Salsas are, the Cashier serving, and the food served as it is in a food court and not a actual Restaurant, I think there is more energy that could be put in to making the food how it should be for optimum enjoyment, and not dissatisfaction and disappointment from loyal customers, I'm not giving up on Salsas because they are capable, they just need to be more consistent, I will try to be patient, do I recommend Salsas in Southland Shopping Centre?
Yea, I guess so, the Chips are worth Recommending on their own.
Long waiting times.
Lack of customer service
Food quality sub par- burrito splitting in middle
The chips were good tho. Only good thing.
Would not recommend
Absolutely garbage food, garbage proportions at outrageous prices.
Avoid at all costs.
