Saigon Allee reviews
33 Bao buns galore and "pho paradise "
This place is must visit. The spring rolls were so crispy and were full of flavor. Indulged in a tasting platter that was absolutely devour-worthy. Another layer of delight, the inclusion of bao buns at "Saigon Allee" elevated the experience. These pillowy steamed buns, filled with succulent ingredients like braised pork belly and pickled veggies, showcased the diversity of Vietnamese cuisine.
The cocktails were as good as food.
With prompt, friendly service and authentic ambiance, this establishment offer a trifecta of culinary delights—pho, banh mi, and bao buns—inviting you to savor the essence of Vietnam in every bite.
We went to Saigon Allee recently and found the food to be amazing and very well priced. The Pho was the best I have had a very long time. Amazing customer service. Highly recommended. We will visit again when we pass through Ballarat again.
Such a lovely place, the oysters we had which is new on the menu they said but they were faultless, presentation was 10/10.
I had Beef pho as well and my husband had banh mi roll said the best one he had for while.
Friendly staff, will be back.
Exceptional on every level. Small, select food menu but everything is brilliant, the venue itself is a lovely space and the floor staff are wonderful. Cannot recommend highly enough.
It was nice that Saigon Allee restaurant was warm so people can enjoy their meal while the weather is cold.
Pretty restaurant with vegetarian and gluten free option but the food taste is disappointing.
I would rather go to Brother Bon for better Vietnamese food
This is an ok restaurant but for us never reached the expectations. Most if the menu didnt seem to be Vietnamese such as Salt and Pepper Calamari and can be ordered at many other restaurants. For us the limited menu of Vietnamese dishes was disappointing. The Beef Pho was nice but could have benefited with more heat, the slow cooked beef curry was ok although you would not know it was a curry. The entre of dumplings were just average and were served after the mains arrived. Keen to visit other localVietnamese restaurants to compare and hope for a bigger range of authentic dishes on their menus.
Delicious Vietnamese food! Fresh and flavoursome. The cocktails are spot on! They are made with a Vietnamese twist and are delicious!
This restaurant is fantastic. My husband and I lived in Hanoi, and this bought back all those lovely memories on the taste buds!
Staff are very attentive and friendly.
We are definitely going back.
Best restaurant in Ballarat.
Thanks guys for a lovely Valentine’s evening.
Great service, love the original decor with lovely lighting, murals and noisy friendly vibe. The food was sensational, fresh, tasty and flavoursome. Well priced. My second visit and will definitely book again!
Slightly oily but still nice, and tasted like Asian food unlike some that put lots of sugar. The vegetarian dumpling is very nice.
Great restaurant but only being open 4 days a week is a real shame. We’ve tried so many times to go there or order takeaway but the opening hours are pretty limited and pretty silly really.
Great place got beautiful vibe, really nice service. Got say the buns are pretty good. Roast pork is so yum. But the pho bo is not the Vietnamese style that I think, and the portion is fair.
Everything was delicious. Super fast service. Especially loved the fried rice with chicken and the prawn salad! Reasonable price too
A very good pork banh mi. Delicious, if a touch heavy on the (mayonnaise?) that made the last few bites reminiscent of coleslaw.
Ordered the Bahn Mi and it was delicious, and they are the only place I have found Vietnamese drip coffee around Ballarat, do yourself a favour and drop in
A bit disappointed here, great atmosphere and decor but the food was a bit pretentious and not as good as it should be for the price.
Delicious food and good beer served promptly by friendly staff. Impressive decor that was inspired and energetic. We were happily impressed.
Was very disappointed with our meal tonight. Our Pho was cold, calamari was average and the pork belly was lacking taste. Service was OK seeing the girl had started tonight.
Atmosphere was nice but load. Had been there numerous times before Covid and it was great. Seems to have lost its umph.
A cozy and warm restaurant, nice music and decorations. We were welcome by friendly staff. Meals were amazing, quick service.
It's a great place to have food and alcoholic drinks.
A lot of the food on the menu is not really Vietnamese. The crispy pork belly that I had was delicious
