Sage Hotel Melbourne Ringwood reviews
63Lovely rooms, good quality. Restaurant meals were good. Just needs a bit of staff training.obviously a bit new. Would stay here again.
This Review is only for the General manager of Sage. If u can see this please know that you have 2 pedofiles working at the hotel asking the staffs to go out with them for drinks which is very unprofessional and disrespectful and trying calling her number late at night to see if she needs something apparently and says that Vishnu the Indian manager gave him her number. He was not supposed to pass her personal information to anyone without her permission i could literally sue your hotel for doing that but i got my missus to quit instead. I hope u guys do something about that i’m a business owner myself and i promise i would never let that happen to any of my staffs. Thanks
So far, not bad, first place ive stayed that doesnt have a toaster in the room.tv reception could be better!
Booked executive king room for one night; reception service was great; hotel room was clean and tidy; plenty of room at level 5 to do work and socialising. Overall I was quite impressed with this hotel;
Sage Hotel Ringwood was clean and comfortable however rather underwhelming.
The rooms look great and bed was comfy but pillows were like rocks with no others to choose from.
One chair was low and uncomfortable and the other an office chair. Nowhere to eat except at desk.
Lighting was way to bright for night time with no lamps at bedside.
Air con was set and could not be adjusted so if it's turned on 18° was the only option.
Breakfast menu was limited and no basic options.
Parking was great, easy and clean.
Having said that we would stay again as the staff were lovely and cleanliness was excellent.
Nice looking establishment. Room was very small. Mould was growing in the shower and rest of room was not very clean. Could not understand receptionist upon arrival. $10 for a small 'tumbler' of gross tasting beer, served by a very rude bartender. Went to order in-room dining only to be told kitchen was closed (at 7: 15pm?) Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Nice rooms new hotel wasn't noisy we were on 8th floor. Only annoying thing no direct access to shopping centre at all.from hotel. You either need to goto basement carpark and walk through or goto ground level and walk on street to the Shopping centre. Unless we weren't told of any other shortcuts. Great free book library.
Very comfortable, clean rooms and friendly staff, restaurant in house was great too. Highly recommended
What a disappointment Sage Hotel was.
The front office staff were busy when we checked, but the reason for this busy-ness wast that guests were constantly coming back to reception to say their electronic key would not operate the lift. Same happened to the people entering the lift the same time as us, and ourselves, and the people following us.
Poor attention to detail.
Bathroom in room had paper rubbish on floor when we first walked in, and shower floor was truly putrid.
One set of cutlery in room, despite fact that hotel was aware two guests would be staying.
Wait staff in restaurant did not greet us at all.when she took our breakfast order, simply came up to our table, rolled her eyes, and said "yes".
And on check out, had to go and knock on a few clearly staff only doors, to get someone to assist us.
Really poor attention to detail, and experience.
Totally underwhelming.
And you want business to come your way, because you have suffered so badly during Covid!
A classic example of Head Office management being totally out of sync with reality.o
Easy to get to. Service was ok. Room was clean, bathroom wasn't great.
Comfy bed and chair.
A reasonable hotel for a stopover. It's recently built so the facilities are new and clean; it's very catered to the business traveller and rooms have the expected amenities - you are on top of Eastland Shopping Centre, so for expect much in terms of picturesque views.
There is no lunch option here, so avoid needing to eat from 11am - 4pm, as both the bar, restaurant and room service are all closed.
Staff could benefit from some further training in hotel management and operations, as the experience with staff was a bit clunky.
DISGUSTING service! Management in charge of cleaning and their staff have a terrible attitude! Not sure how you are running when your employees are rushing to clean rooms and not do an efficient job
Beer selection at bar not very good, only had one tap working and only food they could serve were nuts
Thanks for the reply, understand it's tough at the mo.
Wanted a mini-getaway being 38 weeks pregnant & travel limited with covid thought a night in a hotel to enjoy some luxuries would be nice. So I booked the Exec King room, made the booking over the ph. At time of booking I enquired about valet parking (for obvious difficulty walking reasons) & was told valet information would be included in my booking confirmation email. Confirmation email arrived & yes, it had info on where to go for valet. Fast forward to arrival, pull into valet, no one around. Park the car and walk to valet desk to be told no valet service due to covid. A bit miffed, but oh well, head on up to reception & check in. Lovely room, though for an Exec room more than one chair so both my husband & I could sit down would have been nice. Notice there is no mini bar/snacks, but also notice a note that mentions this is due to covid. Ok, no problems. Settle in for an evening of relaxation, browse the in-room dining menu (lots of yummy options), make our selections and call to place the order. (6.30pm on a Sat btw) only to be told, no in-room dining until breakfast at 7am. Pretty damn annoyed at this stage. So in my uncomfortable state, the only option for dinner was to walk to the (albeit nearby) restaurants, in the rain. I completely understand having limited services and limited staffing due to covid. But I find it unacceptable to not mention this to customers prior to booking, or at a minimum upon arrival. On the plus side, bed was comfortable, and soundproofing was excellent.
Perfect room for our one night stay. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast and coffee in the morning. Would recommend.
Place is ok, too bad they dont have a smoking area inside the hotel plus one of the receptionist with a blonde hair was rude af.
Amazing decor in the lobby and common areas. Rooms are also quiet, comfortable and spacious. Restaurant service was somewhat slow and had a limited menu selection. Staff appeared rushed and stressed. If not for this would have given 5 stars.
Clean, modern close to shopping complex. If you don't have a car perfect. Close to all transport as in right outside door. Great sound proofing. Friendly staff
Room was cold was put in a disabled room was not told. Not cosy. Went for breakfast the next morning waited nearly an hour for breakfast and went it did come it was stone cold felt like it just come out of the fridge
Reasons of not giving this hotel 5 stars:
- No microwave in the room, so you have to bring your food each and every time to the reception, for them to heat it up for you
- No cutleries provided in the room, except 2 small teaspoons. If you ask the reception, they will bring them to your room and you have to pay 5 AUD. If you call the Housekeeping, you will wait for ages & no one will pick up the call
- You have to connect to the free WiFi every 24 hours. So if you are staying for 5 days, you have to reconnect again & again for 4+ times
- No shower gel, only soap bars. Not everyone love soap bars, so this is not ideal at all
- Inconsistent tea provided in the room. If you are lucky, you will get La Maison Du The. But when you are unlucky, you will get Twinings.
- No housekeeping services on Sundays and public holidays
- The gym is extremely tiny, with only 6 - 8 cardio equipments and free weights. No weight / strength training equipment at all
- The bathroom is considerably small
- The reception area is more frequently empty rather than having a receptionist standing there. You have to wait for several minutes or call a number, then someone will get out from the back door and greet you. Quite inconvenient if you are in a hurry
If you have extra money by 50 - 60 AUD per night, go to the nearby The Sebel instead!
