My first time dining here with friends and my wife last night. From the on set I was impressed. Great looking resteraunt inside with its large wall mural one side, distressed brickwall the other, well set out tables and space. We were greeted straight away by friendly staff and seated. Drinks order was taken once we sat and were delivered quickly.

The four of us decided to order the Banquet for $52 p.p. The food combination was delicious, meats very tender, sauces flavoursome and plentiful for the four of us. I was full at end. The only thing I would have enjoyed would have been some more spice to the food, as I didn't detect much at all. A little bit of traditional heat would be great.

All staff were attentive, removed completed dishes quickly, friendly and professional.

I was left impressed with the entire evening and quality of our meal.

Would highly recommend dining in and booking to avoid disappointment. The resteraunt filled quickly.

Made a reservation, arrived on time, and still had to wait 15 minutes because they didn't have a table for us. What is the point of a reservation then? My meal was nice, but the two people dining with me said the vegetables in their dishes were very undercooked, and had obviously been rushed. It's a shame because I really wanted to like this restaurant.

First time customer for takeaway and will definitely return for dinners and more takeaway.
Food was excellent with fresh ingredients, delicious. Service was great and efficient turn around time on our order.

Unbelievable, I was charged $6 cordage per person. I will never eat at this establishment again.

Tasty food and a nice place to enjoy a dinner. Chicken Biriyani was not upto the mark though. The staff really accommodated our last minute orders with patience.

Terrible customer service, rang to request dietary requirements before ordering and was confirmed okay but once ordered the item was wrong plus a missing item. Called and was spoken too so rudely! Shavans in patto is so much better go there.

The curries have heaps of flavour. Their medium curry is mild and their hot is medium. Their garlic naans are other worldly.

Was very busy, loud, and felt a bit expensive for the food we got. Orders took too long, and conversations were lost due to the noisy environment

Absolutely delicious, we had the Goan Fish curry whlich was made with Rockling. The other dishes were also delicious with an extensive menu

Such a lovely venue, great service and delicious food. Our waiter made sure to double check our booking and ensured my meal was totally vegan. Definitely recommend!

Very friendly staff. The place seemed very popular the night I went with a friend and I can understand why, the food is absolutely delicious! We weren't made to feel rushed. The place is nice and bright so you can actually see what you are eating. It has a cozy atmosphere without feeling like you are being squashed in. The only down side was it did get a bit noisy when it was really busy, since the floor is concrete & one side of the walls is made of brick, there isn't much to muffle the sound. Overall it is a place I'll definitely be going back to!

I came here for a birthday dinner and was super blown away by how good this place was.
The food was so freakin tasty!
The entrees were so good. Especially that lamb cutlet i could have eaten 10 of them.
We tried butter chicken, fish curry and eggplant. Then we had dessert washing it all down with a couple of mango lassis. If my tummy would have let me i would have tried the whole menu. It was an great.
Fast and friendly service.
Food came out fast and hot.
Nice atmosphere.
Main gentlemen on the floor is very genuine and provides great service. Keep it up

Will make this succinct: Ordered take away (pick up) and was advised 35 minutes to collect. Was not ready for 55 minutes, so a 20 minute wait at the restaurant. Ok, annoying but obviously busy. Get home (we are 2 minutes from the restaurant) and had to reheat it all as the dishes were barely warm. Worst biryani we have had, just chicken with rice and some spice, nothing more. The plain naan was also tepid and quite poor. We have had naan from Saffron before and it was excellent, but the naan we received was over sweet and the texture was doughy. It’s a shame, as this restaurant used to be excellent. Perhaps the good reviews have over inflated their ego. We had previously frequented and excellent take away in Cheltenham, looks like we’ll be heading back there. Certainly won’t be back at Saffron!

Fresh, clean and crisp flavours. Really enjoyed the vegan pumpkin masala - beautiful flavours and so comforting without being heavy, stodgy or greasy. Look forward to trying the othe vegan options. Very happy!

I love giving good food reviews! We haven't had Indian food in years and thought we'd give the kids a taste of something different.
Butter chicken melted in the mouth. Lamb korma was delicious. Saffron and coconut rice was brilliant. Definitely get the garlic and cheese naan to dip in all the sauces.
We will definitely be back!

Delicious. Light, fragrant rice, perfectly cooked. Light fluffy naan. Perfect crispy papadum. Lovely spiced dal makhani. Will definitely order again.

The curries are good. Portions are just a bit more than you need. Naan excellent. Really friendly service. My new local curry house. Happy days in Mordi

Had the most delicious meal from here tonight! Hot Harabhara lamb, tender full of flavor and coconut prawn Malabari perfectly cooked and juicy with pilau rice. Do yourself a favor and let them cook your diner tonight!

Food is delicious. And well presented. Wait staff were great, including recommendations that were fabulous. Highly recommend giving this restaurant a go. It must have been hard opening during this time, but going by the food and service, they will do great!

Waited until we'd ordered 3 times from here before reviewing to be sure, but it definitely gets 5 stars. Genuinely improves Mordialloc as a place to live when there's curry this good. The Naan is excellent, the bajhis are light and not greasy and every curry has been right on the mark so far. The vindaloo is very good and I'm in danger of not trying much else from here on in. Still feeling stuffed and I'm already excited for next time.
