Sadie Black Cafe reviews
40 How can 2 "LARGE" coffees and a toastie be $28? !
Coffee on the right is Sadie blacks idea of a large compared to other places.
Very extortionate, at least actually get larger cups if your going to charge people so much money.
BEST BURGER EVER! The SB burger is the freshest, tastiest, healthiest burger I’ve had in a a very long time. I’d love Sadie black to open a burger restaurant. Everything else here is great too. The sweets and sandwiches are unreal. Great music inside and wonderful shady seating out front and back. I’m highly impressed. I needed a good burger and this hit the spot. The chef did an amazing job and you can tell they took the time to prepare and cook it to perfection! Well priced and we’ll worth it!
One of the best coffees I’ve had in recent times. That pleasant aftertaste of the coffee stayed in the mouth for the longest time and you feel like drinking more. Rating is purely based on coffee taste.
Super friendly staff despite being swamped up with orders.
Only had the chance to try their coffee but will revisit them and have their food. They even have a back garden seating area.
Ample parking space infront and also street #parking.

Very cute cafe and the best brunch I've had in ages. The dill-cured salmon was delicious & my nephew says smashed avocado is now his favorite food.
The place itself is nice and cozy but definitely not from the staffs.
Food is completely overpriced for what we got $28 for big breakfast with just one toast easily could make it at home yourself. I would say we paid extra for all the staff wages but could cut two staffs down they aren't doing the business any favourite. Also maybe tell the staffs to smile and at least a normal conversation or just a thank you when we pay the bill.
A charming little spot with lovely staff, great coffee and delicious food. Highly recommend the porridge and the dill cured salmon on sourdough. The coffee is spot on too - you won't be disappointed with this gem.
My review is based on a quick takeaway pop in, before closure.
Staff were welcoming, instantly spreading the positivity, which was much appreciated, and a clear indication of why they are popular with their locals ️
Our coffees were on point, and so were our treats (almond croissant & rocky road muffin)
Will definitely be back to enjoy a seated meal.
We had big Sadie’s breakfast menu $28 but it’s smaller portion than average normal size breakfast menu. (I forgot to take photos)
Tea cups had brown stains, and a floor staff who brought us menu, she said she will come back to take order, but she didn’t come back.
So I need go inside to order myself and I saw she was eating her lunch herself. I wished she passed her duty to other staff to take order.
Been wanting to visit this local cafe for a while, it does close a bit early. Well worth the visit, very good coffee, delicious food and pastries. Nice courtyard out the back and dining indoors and out the front. Will be back.
Came across this minor gem whilst out cycling on a tour of Albion and Ardeer… I wouldn’t go just for this but would definitely drop in again if in the area
The vegetarian breakfast bun, avo, egg, I think a brioche bun, never had anything quite like it, incredibly delicious!
Pleasant experience, so friendly and polite staff. Greeted with smile and I totally enjoyed the overall experience, from a local cafe it was awesome. Will be returning back definitely.
Love popping into Sadie Black for delicious coffee and getting a side of local staff who feel like family.
The food is delicious and feels homely while still being modern.
I highly recommend getting a loaf of sourdough to take away if they have any available! Best sourdough around.
Also who can get past the delightful background story that it is named after their dog Sadie who is a black lab! Adorable!
Best cafe in Albion, Ardeer, Sunshine and surrounds hands down. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, awesome food. Extra points for being dog friendly.
So cute I couldn’t deal. And so local too! Love that owners believed it was worth creating something worthy, replicating top notch laid back inner city quality cafe feels. Yes it’s tucked away but so many people know about it it also has the inner city busyness which I am not complaining about - their coffees are worth the wait promise.
Serving delicious homemade almond flourless cakes, hot coffees and more nutritious goods, this local cafe is worth trying out! Friendliest staff!
Quite literally the best cafe in greater Sunshine, excellent coffee, pastries, and cooked lunch and breakfast. Our favourites are the reuban sandwich and steak sandwich
Lovely little place tucked out of the way. Great for a catch up over lunch or just a coffee.
Good food!
It wasn't a bad experience but it wasn't a great one either. Dirty cups and utensils wasn't a great a start. Coffee was great as it seems like a hub for coffee goers. Food was ok but it did under perform. It has more of a quick stop for a coffee and chat rather than a good breakfast spot so if your on the go or want to work on a few things on your laptop this is a good spot for you.
Kitchen is extremely slow to make food especially during peak hours. Waited for 35-40 mins for 1x french toast on a Saturday morning with no comms to give us a heads up. There are no other similar cafes in the area so there is lack of choice for customers (if located any more central they might lose customers). The food and coffee is really good, and I've heard good things, so this may have been a one-off.
