Saddle Dam Picnic Area reviews
40Beautiful location with good services for picnic excursions. There are covered areas for sitting/dining as well as ample parking.
No pet restricted area but there are so many dog poo everywhere in the area - make the walk less enjoyable. The Sam itself is nice though. Hope they find the person whoever is breaking the rules
Perfect place for BBQ picnics and fishing. Make sure you fish in the designated areas. Plenty of roo's and bird life.
Super spot pour une belle balade un dimanche, vous pourrez y croiser toute sorte d'animaux (kangourous, crocodiles, oiseaux, serpents etc.)!
It is like a Windows wallpaper view when sunny.nice place for picnic, no access to water (of course it's a catchment). Bbq.tables and toilets.
Great place to go for some time out. Large panoramic views and bloody windy as well. Good drive up there, well worth it
Nice place for a quick getaway from city within an hour.
Visit all around the year. Great for walks on the dam or the shoreline.
It's a nice beautiful place and has restroom. Only demerit was that the area was filled with kangaroo potty and difficult to sit on the grasses.
Sugarloaf Dam is a fantastic place to visit. With vast and beautiful views across the water and surrounding mountains and rolling hills.
It makes the perfect place for morning, afternoon or early evening walks. From beginner, intermediate to avid walker, there's a whole 18km round trip circuit of the dam.
If you're lucky, you may see deer.
Plenty of parking, toilet facilities, enough seating for small and large groups, or simply bring a picnic rug and find a shady spot under the trees.
Even when this place gets busy, there is plenty of space to find a quiet spot.
There are two large picnic areas and multiple parking lots.
This place is great to visit all year round.
Such a beautiful place, but so bad there isn't any barbecue,
Everyone has to bring its own
Nice place for a picnic, short walks and fishing. There is a clean toilet near the picnic area. Lots of trees and picnic tables for family fun.
Lovely place for a quiet escape from the city. Calm, comfortable and not too long a drive. Equipped with picnic benches and toilets.
Note: no drink taps or bins so make sure you stock up on water beforehand.
Still open during covid lockdown. Very quiet but tranquil. Facilities mostly closed. Dam is nearly full
Its a wonderful park to have some nice quality time with friends and family.alot of spots all on the sides of the dam with all the facilities to sit and have some BBQ.views are so delightful with some parrots birds seen.you can plan some hiking trip or just relax at one of the dam side.huge parking is available at every sitting spot.toilets are also there.
It's a nice long walk.
There are no longer gas/electric Bbq facilities at the far end car parks.
Another picnic area right inside the Sugarloaf reservoir area, which is a great little spot but is generally always busy. Has toilets and BBQ area. You can also walk close down to the water on the sandy dirt beach.
Quiet place with beautiful view of the sugarloaf reservior. No BBQ facility in this area, but plentiful of tables and seats in shade.
Good spot for picnic with all the necessary facilities. If you get lucky, you will get to see kangaroos, bunnies and wild deers.
Not very big dam but very beautiful lake full of sky blue colour.good for outdoor panic, barbe & beach ball exercises for young kids.
Scenic picnic spot with great views of the Sugarloaf Reservoir. Bbq facilities, toilets, sheltered picnic spots are available. No bins on site, need to handle own rubbish. Also one of the start and end points for the 15 kms circuit trail that goes around the reservoir.
