Rutherglen Visitor Information Centre reviews
15Happy and helpful staff gaveus with all the info we needed to find our way around beautiful Rutherglen
Super helpful staff on hand, we were able to tell them our duration of stay, interests and they recommended things to see and do in the area and greater surroundings.
Friendly dogs are also welcome to visit inside too.
If travelling with the pooch, they have listings available of wineries restaurants and cafes that will let you take them along.
Quite place hard to find as gets confused with truck stop you need to go down narrow big hole road if entrance missed
Visited today and my wife was pleasantly surprised by the quality gifts available to purchase. More than an information centre but a place to visit when in Rutherglen. Plenty of information about the surrounding areas and beyond. Had a lovely chat to Nadine about everything from winery's, Rutherglen and beyond. Most welcoming and friendly. Thank you.
Great place to pop in & visit for both locals & visitors. The staff are very friendly & helpful. Has an extensive range of lovely gifts & local products. Love the Gundowering ice-cream.
Great place Very friendly staff, excellent information and a large range of products to purchase Thumbs up every one
The ladies were quite friendly & informative & we we're happy to look around some of the local products in store.
Friendly staff who are eager to assist. Well set out with plenty of info and gifts. Car park is big enough. Worth a visit when in town.
Update 2021: visited again in mid-2021, sounds like a complicated situation but they have lost the capacity to sell local wines which is a huge shame. Still have lovely staff, nice souvenirs and clean loos.
From 2019: Incredibly helpful, friendly and patient. No idea if there is a markup on cellar door price for the wines they sell, but this was a very convenient way to get advice and make purchases from multiple wineries without having to get to them all.
Great place but don't look for the place in the picture that isn't it. Its 100mt down the road.
Good service and an interesting assortment of merchandise. No free information on old gold mining sites which can be visited.
Great place to find out about local wineries and activities. Also has a good range of gifts and local produce.
A massive thank you to Nadine who went above and beyond to answer a question for me about a local camping area, nothing was too difficult. Nadine is an absolute gem and is obviously very passionate about helping people. Keep up your amazing work!
If you need idea about what you can do and go while you are in Rutherglen, just go into this info centre! You will find very useful maps and a bit of history of the famous wineries:)
Hired a tandem with my parner today and rode 20 kms. Such lovely people at the Info centre. Community piano got a workout too!
