My new favourite sandwich shop. Great food but customer service is also tops - genuinely friendly guys.

Staff were really friendly.

Yet, the Cubano was very disappointing. It was bland and the pickles were the only source of flavour. The pork was overly wet so the bread got quite soggy. I started eating it within a couple of minutes of leaving the shop so it wasn't wet from letting it sit.

From the bread to the sauce the fried chicken sandwich was amazing. The bread was soft and fresh but also crunchy. The chicken was crispy but didn’t taste drenched in oil. And I didn’t have to wait long. If you’re driving by or in the area and hungry stop for a bite!

Great place for a quick feed on a great day! Was served quickly, happy to make any changes and the food came out fast. Staff are amazing and the food is even better. I got the chicken sandwich and the Cubano and both were phenomenal. The chicken was crunchy but still juicy and the pork packed a punch. Highly recommend checking this place out!

The chicken sandwich is to die for. Ciabatta style bread toasted inside soft outside, generous and delicious toppings. Staff friendly, quick service, simple yet authentic decor. We will be back!

Cosy little space with awesome tunes and even better sandwiches! Chicken sandwich was the bomb and didn't disappoint! Soft crusty bread with crunchy juicy chicken, pickled slaw and jalapenos. Will be back to try the Turkey sandwich.

Edit 2023: not sure what happened here but sandwiches are pretty ordinary these days - definitely not a $20 sandwich. Ingredient quality has dropped.

Also the menu has not changed since they opened.

And their beet Reuben is vegetarian, which was massively disappointing to me. Maybe that’s my fault for not reading the menu closely but also is a Reuben a Reuben without corned beef?
I’m can’t really recommend this place any more, unfortunately.

Absolutely amazing I bought 2 for myself and my partner we got the chicken and the prawn can I say mind blowing best sandwich we’ve had and we have tried a lot of sandwich shops. Put it this way we went back inside and ordered another 2 this time trying the cubano mouth watering. It was juicy normally I’m hesitant on buying pulled pork because it’s always dry but Rusty’s was so moist full of flavour. Great customer service ticked all the right boxes for us great size as well we were in a food coma

We've only ever gotten food delivered from Rusty's but I have to say, their sandwiches are great. We typically always order their Cubano. I've had their prawn as well as their fried chicken sandwich. Both good but the prawn had tails still on them. Be warned. We hope to go in some time to see if this place has good vibes.

Writing this review halfway through one of their vegan sausage sandwiches because it’s just divine. This is my second time having Rusty’s and both times have been spectacular. I’d travel out just their food, and when my work takes me north of the city one of my first thoughts is “I wonder if I can get Rusty’s from here. ” 10/10. No notes. Brill.

The competition for sandwich spots in the northern suburbs these days is pretty fierce. The point of difference for Rusty’s is definitely its delightfully fluffy ciabatta bread. The fillings for both the prawn and cubano sandwiches however left me wanting more, as the pork was a little dry, the prawns lacked the spice the menu promised, and both overall missed that flavour punch I need from my sandwich fix. I cannot reiterate enough that the bread is still very very good though.

Ordered via Uber eats today, and can of course take into consideration that food doesn’t always taste the same as ordering in person, but the huge seeds in this fried chicken ciabatta and on the chips really threw me off, the purple cabbage was very bland, the chicken itself had a lot of nerve bits that weren’t edible and made it hard to enjoy the meal, and the chips needed normal salt too.
Delivery was quick, the note on the bag was nice and although I read reviews before ordering from Rustys sandwiches online, I don’t think this was a good experience for me overall.

Unique flavours of sandwiches. Not a large range but I guess it’s a good thing as it will be easier to decide. The bread are super crispy but soft and buttery on the inside. Meats were flavored well and the sauces were full of flavour. Chips were super crispy with their own unique seasoning. Would definitely recommend!

Got the fried chicken sanga and chips. Chips were salted and seasoned to perfection. Bread on the sanga was so good.

Had the crispy chicken sandwich as recommended by the staff. It is supposed to be the best seller.

Sadly chicken was over cooked - dry and chewy. Batter was burnt.
Slaw in sandwich was bland and the bun was a tad dry.

Had the fried chicken sandwich here. A little bit more money than I would usually be comfortable paying for a sandwich but the quality speaks for itself. The highlight of my lunch was the buttery, soft but crunchy ciabatta roll they use for bread, would eat here again.

Great choice of sandwiches, I've had most of the options but always go back to the Vegan Sausage - as the chilli jam is glorious. The gluten free bread is also good, which is hard to come by.

Just overwhelmingly good. Awesome bunch of people. The taste is unique and amazing. The fries were super duper good. Just get yourself there and be the judge for yourself.
