Ruffey Lake Park reviews
71With the latest additions of fresh seats, playgrounds, outdoor gym, new bbqs, covered decking with tables and chairs overlooking the lake, fresh signage, definitely a gem in the heart of Doncaster. Great walking trails, plenty of spots to be alone and enjoy the lake and greenery as well as picnic spots for a group, plenty of parking with various entrances. A great park with water stations for four legged family members and humans.
Parking difficult on Victoria st at the best of times. Very hilly but very peaceful and relaxing
Good park with lots of fun walks and bbq areas the only down side is the frisbee golf course gets muddy in winter
Great Park to go for a walk. With or without a dog. Good to catch up with friends for a BBQ.
The new Ninja Warrior course is great. Designed for age 12+, our 7year old found ways through most of the course. Lovely view down the hill to the lake and bushland.
Been here only once on a rainy day but it was a beautiful experience. It has good three and a half kilometre walk made up of road which means you can come here for a walk even when the surroundings are wet. It has plenty of barbeque area and play area for kids along with toilets. It has plenty of parking at various entrances. Need to go again.
Cozy with good walks. Picked wrong area for picnic. Playgrounds and shelter and toilets available nice!
Manningham Carols at the Park. Absolutely lovely learnt.that next year I'm taking a chair! The picnic blanket is not cushiony enough for these bones.
Lovely environment, trees and fresh air. Playground is a bit old and path signs were confusing.
Love walking my dog here very friendly and relaxing something for everyone includes disc golf (frisbee) for family fun electric bbq toilets both ends of park plenty of parking includes disable bays, for walking has two options Hills Top outer path circuit 3.6k-45min walk and Ruffey lake inner path circuit 2.7k- 30min walk also includes dog creek for the swimmer dogs dog on lead areas dog off lead areas and no dog area for habitat all round winner
Great park and kids loved the playgrounds too. Only downside is that it sometimes gets too crowded.
Large, lovely park with several playgrounds to visit and plenty of picnic spots. Great paths for scooting or biking. Dogs allowed on and off lead in various sections. A bonus for Mr Whippy visiting in the summer!
Great sealed & unsealed walking tracks. Plenty of quiet, shady spots for picnics. Clean public toilets at the main Victoria Street Playground. Parking in nearby streets if main car park is full.
Great xmas carols night some excellent singers A great night out for kids and adult.take a picnic and a rug and wine lol
My friends always meet up at Ruffey Lake's for our Christmas BBQ & always very happy when we finally get a table to occupy for a pleasant afternoon of catching up.
It is not very busy park. It is very big as well. It is OK for leisure walking. Also we found very good bike station which provides all sorts of tools for fixing your bicycle.
Definitely one of our favourite places to walk the dog. Big enough to get your daily exercise especially with an active dog and spacious enough for a picnic without crowds and noise.
Great big park with lots of hills and slopes, good place to get some sunshine. Ample parking around the area but can get quite busy, especially on weekends. Even with a full park, there is plenty of space to walk though, and plenty of space for kids and dogs to run around.
Cycling is also fine if you can handle the slopes. Lots and lots of grass, some very lovely sights to see on the walking circuits as well. Got ducks here.
It is so lovely to go to Ruffey Lake Park any day, any time. The trees, bushes, beautiful lake force you to connect to the mother nature.endless grassland, mature trees, walking trails, bike trails, flowers are just amazing. BBQ and kids play ground are so clean and respected by visitors that's good to see. It is one of the best park we have in Melbourne.
