Fabulous! I visited for the first time with my mother and we enjoy the delicious lasagna lunch with salad and chips. This is a beautiful bakery as well. With all kinds of delightful desserts and cakes, We took a jelly slice and a lamington with cream cake to go cake to go!
Returned the second and third time in the past 2 weeks, highly recommend the Sunday Roast of the day! Lemon meringue pie with whipped cream for dessert.
Cheers, highly recommend.

How disappointing to have to wait an hour and have to go and ask when our booked high tea was going to commence! The service was beyond slow and
if it hadn't been for our friend's birthday, we would have left the premises. You can't treat customers in such an offhand manner and expect them to return. A shame - as the food when it arrived - was lovely.

Ruby T's takes one back in time a little. They do make lovely plain scones, & are famous for their individual passionfruit sponges.
The environment is pleasant, and the service.is very.good. They offer a great, reasonably priced Sunday roast, & when one lives alone this is much appreciated. I, for one cannot be bothered with producing a roast dinner, when one can be found, with lots of fresh vegetables at Ruby T's. There is.convenient parking behind the.shops.

Very tired looking, Place wasn’t the cleanest.carpet was filthy with crumbs and food spillage all over the floor. Toilet was out of order so had to find one outside only to find that was out of order too: (. Coffee ordinary but at least the scones with cream & jam were tasty.

The passionfruit sponge cakes at Ruby T's are the best! & my elderly mothers favorite! I live overseas & Pam has been so nice in helping me see that my mother was able to have a passionfriut sponge on several special occasions. Exceptional customer service & highly recommended! Thanks Pam! Jane.

Excellent food and drinks with fast and friendly service. The perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, or afternoon tea. Had the BLT sandwich with a cup of Earl Grey and it was perfect.

A co-worker recommended this cafe for their coffee, and it sure did not disappoint. Just one cup of their coffee and you really made your day complete!

We have been visiting Ruby T’s in Maling Road since it first opened, some years ago now, and have enjoyed the variety of foods on offer, our favourite being the ribbon sandwiches and passionfruit sponge cakes, a specialty there. Ruby T’s later moved further down the road to a much larger shop which has now made the dining experience even better. Over the many years that we have been going there, we have never once been disappointed with the service or the food. It is just a great experience and we believe a main feature of Maling Road that we strongly recommend you visit and enjoy as we have. A big thank you to Pam and her staff for such an enjoyable dining experience. Kind regards, Bruce and Karen Osborne.

Great home made food. Good coffee. Indoor seating a bit crowded. Outdoor seating on street front and in a pleasant courtyard out back.

Beautiful and delightful especially if you are into old world charm. Fantastic ribbon sandwiches and scrumptious passionfruit cream cake. Love their old world Chinaware from Villeroy and Boch, Royal Albert etc. Quaint and delightful

Quality of food has dropped since my last review.
Tableclothes dated and need a good wash.
Staff appear overwhelmed when it gets busy.

Delightful olde worldy tea rooms in Maling Road Canterbury. Good selection of light meals and cakes. One of the few places where fresh ribbon sandwiches are served.

My friend and I ate there for lunch and ordered steak pies, after a couple hours both felt sick and realized we got food poisoning

An hour or two after eating an over priced steak pie with chips&salad, started to feel very unwell.

I love this quiet cafe in an old world setting with superb traditional Australian fare and on premises baked cakes and pastries coupled with old school caring customer service.
