As a hairdresser myself, I’m super fussy when it comes to my hair, Ebony is amazing at Balayage and Mel does the most beautiful curls! Highly recommend their team

Im Catherine and have been a customer for over 10 years (previous Russell’s), had made an appointment for foils and haircut as normal but unfortunately had to cancel and rebook an appointment 24 hours prior due to a change to my work schedule. Was shocked when told that I would be charged $25 cancellation fee (they needed 3days notice! -who does that!) Mel then told me that they wouldn’t charge it this time but next time they would. Booked another appointment in 9 days time, the following day had a phone call saying that I needed to pay a $50 deposit for any colour appointment! Never had to do this anywhere before, could understand new clients but really! I certainly didn’t pay the deposit and subsequently rang and told Ebony that I wanted to cancel my appointment and didn’t wish to rebook-8days out! No one that I have told this to have every heard of this extremely unprofessional management. Thats how loyal customers are treated! Unfortunately myself and many that I know, won’t be returning.

I do not recommend this hairdresser, I used to love Ruby Inspired Hair and beauty; however after leaving constructive criticism in a private message for no one to see the owner become rude, defensive and even went to the extreme of blocking me from the business Facebook page.wow! So unprofessional, I honestly had no intentions on leaving bad feedback and or reviews until she went to that extreme!

I had a colour done, half a head of foils (I actually really needed a full head, but trusted her “professional” opinion as she could see what I couldn’t, well so I thought - that was my first mistake!
I ldid like my at first glance, until I realised that the underneath didn’t match the top at all, it looked so tacky. I realised that I couldn’t wear my hair in any other style than down, I thought that could be corrected.until I had a shower and noticed that after one wash the little colour and toner that I did have literally faded and washed away!

I rang to try and receive a refund, she did offer to fix it, however I honestly would not feel comfortable at all going back there, especially after the way she treated me, she would t have blocked me if she wanted me back.

I’m really devastated and upset I have hair that looks worse than when I got it done and I feel completely ripped off.

I hope Ebony enjoys my hard earned money. I’ll have to find a hairdresser to fix this mess!

Update to response received: I’m not wanting to deal with unnecessary drama, it is what it is and I know the truth and have the documentation to back it up!

I’ve learn my lesson, lost my money. I just won’t be returning or recommending the salon to anyone I know. Simple!

I'm locking innRuby Inspired Hair is my new go-to! Mel's service was amazing! I would highly recommend her! She is clear and polite when it comes to instructing myself to make my way to and from the washing basin and salon chair, Mel was also very respectful in conversation but also kind and open to diverse topics like health, family and the future She paid really close attention to detail, clipping the towel under the cape and even replacing the cape after the bleach had been washed, she's also a very talented artist and stylist having carefully separated the sections for the foils and taking time to curl with the straightener
As for the colour, i think its set really well and my hair is still healthy and ive got the right products suggested by Mel, to use and maintain the blonde im really glad the products you sell and use are all vegan and cruelty free, these attributes are very important to me and its amazing the quality they produce
