Royal Park Golf Course reviews
21My local course:) accessible, good for any golfers and since change of management in 2022 the course is in better condition. Always room for improvement however for the price it is highly recommended
Just got off the phone sounds like a really nice group of people that work here and I really can't wait to bring my family here
Love this course, and been playing here for years. I think it’s under new management (the pro shop part perhaps), as I went for a round of 9 holes the other day and I found the people at the pro shop rather unfriendly and rude. Even when I gave them my $21.50 to play. They guy that used to run it was super affable, humourous and friendly. Where’d you go?
Chances are I (and friends) will not play here again. Much prefer to fork out my green fees elsewhere.
This place is beginner-unfriendly. My friend and I take i bit longer on hole no. 1 because we're new to golf. When we're struggling to move faster, the staff member comes and tells us to grab the balls and leave. It's my friend's first golf experience and this golf course leaves a traumatic impression on her because of the way she has been treated.
Very good 9 hole course near the zoo, reasonable priced with good practice facilities hire equipment and lessons available, easily accessible by public transport, well worth a visit
Bloke who runs the ProShop is so rude. I will do my utmost best to never play here again. He cannot even take simple questions over the phone and hung up on me when I asked if carts were avaliable. Every time I have called to book he has always been in a fowl mood and is even worse in person. Do not recommend untill there is a change of staff
Decent track and conditions held up well for a wet day. Members a little prudish (whose surprised) and slow think 2.5-3 hours for 9 and they were playing best ball.
Good walking around during lockdowns but be careful of a sneaky people still playing golf even if it's closed.
Course was gorgeous!
First time, needed a little guidance on direction to the hole on a couple.
Played in mid June, don’t bother playing if you can’t tee off before 4. The tree coverage makes it get dark early.
Loved playing it, will be back.
Great value public course. ($18.50 for 9 holes I think I paid)
So happy to have this as my local course. To be honest I actually prefer it to Yarra Bend which I think is very overrated.
The course here is in great condition. The staff are friendly. There is a bit of a walk from holes 1-2 and 8-9 but no issue for me.
Can get busy but just need to pick the right times.
Won't ever play here again. Dirty, leaves everywhere on green, clubhouse smells. The staff are unwelcoming, racist, rude and just down right unpleasant. They are not willing to help and even can't take simple instructions on the phone, especially the old guy who works on Saturdays. Overpriced too. Quoted us one price on phone and ended up being a lot more when we got there.
Never had a bad experience here, ever. And I've been more times than I can count. Ask for a petrol buggy if you're getting one - they're HEAPS fun)
Very challenging course but its great place for a wack! Great feeling being able to aim at the trams. Be carful not to over shoot the first though. Im worried I may have taken out a lion or orther large animal at the zoo. I keep calling them to make sure and they dont answer my calls anymore
Such a great green space especially while lockdown is on and golf is off
Birds have reappeared, and that has become one of my favourite spots to relax around
Awesome little course. It's very well maintained at the moment. Has a good variety for weekend hacks and those just wanting to have a crack.
Great little track to race around in the inner city. Only neg is that there is only 2 or so drivable holes
Good course, good fairway, high quality awesome place definitely recommend doplease go here it is bueatiful and an amazing parkland
The course is good. Nine holes, well maintained with some interesting holes. Unfortunately there are real problems with bookings at the pro shop. They can't get organised and always overbook on weekends. Expect to wait at least half an hour after your tee off time.
This is a great place for a 9 hole golf game. Buggies and Carts avaliable at a good price. Community golf course.
While crossing the road that leeds to the golf course, a young male driver in a SUV nearly knocked me down. I was already in the middle of the road & he still drove in front & around me. Very arogant & it was the middle of the day. Pedestrians have right of way you idiot. Plus would you like having my disability or death on your conscience for the rest of your life.
