Good things - pretty decent portion size. Wait time wasn't too bad. Flake batter wasn't great but okay to eat. It was a little bit crispy, have had worse but definitely have also had much better.

Improvement areas - chips were average unfortunately. Lacking salt/chicken salt and was fairly soggy by the time we opened it to eat. Only small squeeze sauces to purchase, no small tubs.

Best chips we have had in a long time and the proportion for price is better than ANYWHERE we've tried out this way!

Worst fish and chips I've ever had. Fish wasn't fresh, hamburger wasn't fresh and the chips, dim sims and potato cakes were extremely over cooked. Doesn't deserve any stars at all and was a waste of money and was mostly bined. Such a shame.

Fish and chips were OK. Unfortunately we ordered a couple of Hamburgers. Worst I have eaten. Dry and overcooked. One burger was ordered with cheese bacon and onion. Onion was not cooked, which is what every other fish and chip shops has done for every burger I have had over the last 30 years.
I think this is new management. Only positive is that I don’t think they will be there long term. Hopefully the next management know what they are doing.

Sorry don’t usually complain but the worst fish- Flake And Blue grenadier, I have ever had. Gave it to the dog as so rubbery could not even break it up. Sorry never again.

The worst fish and chips I’ve ever eaten. Looked on top of the fryer and there was 20+ Pre cooked flake sitting there and asked if we could have fresh flake not that and they said it was fresh… I had one bite and spat it back out

Don’t waste your money

Fish cakes & chips were oily and was soggy, in fact none of it was worth eating, biggest waste of money.

We tried this shop as the ‘best fish shop’ in Rowville told me I had a 90 minute wait.
Fish was fresh and tasty. Chips potato cakes, dimmies, etc were pretty good too. I have seen other reviews but for us to feed 10 people we ALL thought the food was great and excellent value as well.

FACT: If you can't cook a potato cake, you don't belong in the fish & chips business.

Don't waste your money on these clowns.unless raw potato is your idea of delectable dining.

could've used a potato cake for a tyre patch, & the chips are like rubber
definitely won't be going back, thats 3 times now spread over a period of 3 months & the quality of food has'nt changed at all that I;ve been caught out by them.

I have NEVER eaten WORSE fish and chips in my life! Not only were the chips and potato cakes soggy, the fish was basically drowning in oil. I applied for a job here a while ago and they refused to take my resume because " i was a girl" and "we need boys to lift heavy things". I come back 2 weeks later and see they've hired 2 teenage boys standing around doing nothing. That's when i realised all of their staff are men. Overall the worst food i've ever had, along with misogynistic men who can't cook.

Generally the food is very good.
But tonight the chips - potato cakes where soggy and eatable.

Got a piece of flake, 6 dim sims and minimum chips, opened it up when I got home only to find that there was no flake. We wont be going back to this fish and chip shop again.

It may be Covid. It may be Friday. If you cook it. Or that’s what you think you are doing You need to call out peoples numbers, not collect them all in the Bain Marie. People aren’t mind readers whilst standing out the front waiting. The customers shouldn’t be coordinating your completed order call outs. That’s your job. You can’t expect people to eat cold, soggy, oily fish and chips accompanied by the worst potato cakes ever seen.
Further. If the wait is an hour. Be honest and not tell people it is 20 mins when it isn’t even close.
Ps. I waited 75 mins from order to being passed the cold miserable excuse for dinner.
Thank-you for allowing me the opportunity to find something better. And when my wife rang to complain, the owner hung up on her. Lucky you didn’t do that to me.

Awesome local fish and chips. The guy in the phone that took my order didn’t really have any enthusiasm but then again I have no idea what kind of day he could’ve had. But apart from that awesome chips and such good flake and crab stick damn ‘ haha highly recommend.

We usually have a meal every second week and usually don't have problems. Tonight it took 1hr 40 minutes for our order to be ready - we were told 20minutes. The food was soggy fish dry. Was the worst Fish and Chips I have ever had! Not sure what made tonight so different but you better pick up your customer service!

Recent reviews said best fish & chip. Must be written by staff. Worse soggy fish & chips ever. Only live around the corner so expected crispy fish. Never again

Omg this is the best fish and chips ever, come here at least once a week and it’s the best fish and chips i have ever had i’m in love! It’s so good quality the chips are so crispy and the fish is so delicious, The prices are suitable for fish and chips I recommend everyone should come here it’s the best shop ever! Thanks guys x

Very poor. 50c surcharging for orders under $20.
Seafood sticks over-cooked yet still smelt.

Souvlaki was full of lettuce.

Pls do yourself a favour and go to Wellington Village

WORST FISH AND CHIPS EVER!
chips were alright but the potato cake and dim Sims some of them were soggy and some of them were hard. The sause that was package was probebly sitting there for a year. Don't recommend
