Round About Cafe reviews
52I was amazed by the food and just the general vibe. It will become a new regular spot for us. We went on rib night got the share plate. Maybe one or 2 extra chicken wings wouldn't go a miss. But saying that we didn't get entrees.
What a great spot for breakfast, nice to see lots of young people working. Love the round about with the ducks and lake as well.
Open-planned cafe with windows facing Shaxton Reserve so you can watch the ducks being ducks. Staff were friendly, quick to serve and efficient. I watched a waitress walk 2 full-to-the-brim coffees outside, manoeuvring the heavy front door without her hands, without spilling a drop of coffee. Very skilled! Plenty of parking at the back and seating outside at the front. Our meals were cooked well, a decent size and care was taken with presentation. Would recommend the Berry Banana Pancakes.
Great coffee and food
Lovely to grab a take away coffee and go for a walk to see the ducks
Quite a busy little spot, plenty of parking. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The only downside is if you are a mums group if there is more than 3 of you it's not really a great spot inside but outside on a beautiful day definitely.
We came with a big group at short notice and the staff and kitchen didn’t skip a beat. Great food and generous size for price.
I onlynordered a latte. It v was nice but a but on the coolish side. I sat the for over an hour whilst waiting for my partner. They were more than for me to sit there, however no staff asked if wanted to place another order.
Lovely cafe overlooking a parkland. Only had a coffee which was good. Staff are very friendly
We rocked up with a huge crew on a Tuesday morning, prob a bit too many people to be honest- but the crew at round about cafe handled it brilliantly and the food was fast and tasty.
Thanks for catering for our crazy family.
Round about cafe not only have the most wonderful food and coffee, but the staff are incredible. We arrive this morning with 20 guests and no booking. Our uncle was in grief and overreacted at the staff. Once the staff knew why, they literally couldn’t have been any kinder or more attentive.
Not only had they been thrown a curve ball with so many unexpected guests, they managed my uncles frustrations with grace.
Thank you round about cafe. And thank you for the wonderful breaky. The meal was so so big and so yummy.
Incredibly disappointing. The eggs Benedict looked like a child had made it. Two plain pieces of bread with three small pieces of ham spaced across, two tiny eggs and the smallest amount of hollandaise that couldn’t even be tasted. This was genuinely the worst breakfast I’ve ever paid for.
We also ordered smashed avo which did not come with halloumi like it’s supposed to, so they rip you off here.
Highly recommend people go elsewhere, even make your own at home and it’ll be better
Food was delicious. A little pricey for a Cafe but can't fault the service and quality of food.
Bought a breakfast bagel this afternoon, it was one of the best all day breakfast meals I’ve ever had! I almost want to call the cafe to tell them to give the chef my compliments, but since working in hospo most of my adult life I know how busy service can get and answering the phone for something that isn’t more important than the customers is hella annoying. So I hope the owner sees this and passes on my thanks! Yum yum
Nice, easy-going environment, friendly and attentive staff and the food is simple and amazing! Not to mention they cater extremely well for gluten free and vegan choices. Oh, and the coffee rocks! Just a little noisy when full, but only due to bad acoustics which some ceiling boards would fix.
Wow, waiting for 2 hours to get bacon and eggs on toast, coffee was cold when first served over an one and a half hours ago. Anything would be quicker and better service than this place
Hidden gem for sure! Got the smashed avo which was lovely & a dirty chai. Was just powdered chai but still nice
Staff were very attentive and lovely
Recommended!
Love love love this cafe. Service is fantastic and staff are so friendly. The food is always delicious and I love the choice of frozen margaritas. I've honestly never had a bad meal from this cafe and I've eaten from here a lot since Covid started. Love it and highly recommended!
A quiet gem minutes away from the Peninsula Link Bike Path.
Nice food and coffee with excellent, friendly service.
Update. The new menu item; Budda Bowl is yum+
I had poached eggs with corn fritters and mushrooms and returned it back uneaten with both eggs very hard & a disappointing looking fritter the toast was dry & stale. But my coffee's were very good, the staff was very friendly, the manger removed one of our meals from the bill which was very nice. But sadly at the moment this place is very hit & miss with who's cooking, hopefully for our area this place will get it right soon.
Brunch turned into late lunch… for basic food waited over 2 hours for 3 hash browns with little toddler unfortunately. I do not leave reviews but this was a must! The scrambled eggs on toast arrived with no cutlery provided to eat it with. Had to grab from another table. One meal arrived as salmon bagel (was not even on the menu) so had to wait again for the ‘menu ordered’ bagel. Staff were offended when we asked about the wait - an hour and a half after ordering and not getting food - all it would take was some communication that their kitchen staff are not able to produce food in large quantities and there is a 2 hour wait so we could decide to go somewhere else or go for a walk.
$19 for this simple yet fatty and overly salty bagel and 2 hours …. Would not recommend.
