Rosebud Thai Restaurant reviews
48This is a good place to eat, the food is absolutely delicious although it can be expensive.
The Green curry was fragrant and delicious.
Do yourself a favour and try the coconut crumbed prawns.
Great service and all with a smile.
THANK YOU. We ordered takeaway tonight, all of which was delicious. There was the option to make comments/requests when placing our order so were able to request traditional Thai dipping sauce with our meal rather than the standard sweet chilli.
Honestly this made our meal and night! Felt like we were in Thailand
Food was terrible. Ordered the Penang and massaman curry as well as the pad thai. No good at all. The curry’s were watery and had no flavor at all. Very disappointed. Definitely will not go again
Had dinner here to try their Thai cuisine. We ordered Chicken Satay, Prawn Satay, Springrolls, Veggie and Tofu Fritters and Tom Kha Soup.
Food is okay, nothing special. Chicken Satay was very dry and tough. The ambiance was very dim. Price is a bit expensive for very little serving especially the Tom Kha Soup. Probably won’t come back.
Lovely food. We ordered online which was really easy. It was ready in great time and the staff were incredibly friendly. They finished the last items once I was at pick up to ensure it was hot and crispy ready for me to take home. Highly recommend!
Honestly some of the best Thai food in Vic! I always make a point of traveling to rosebud just for their Pad See Ew. Always friendly and efficient service!
The service was first class, the food was AMAZING and soooo DELICIOUS! The best Thai food since I was in Thailand! We will be back:)
Fabulous, authentic Thai food accompanied by fast, friendly service. We always really enjoy dinner here!
The food itself is not that bad in taste for a quick takeaway, but it dosent justify $22 for a ‘large’ Tom Yum in a container no less taller than a coke can.
It’s difficult to find a place in Melbourne city & suburbs that charges this extravagant amount for a Tom Yum & if you do, you get a hefty serving of at least the soup portion of it.
The food is expensively overpriced in general for what it was.
Service was lovely but food wasn’t nice at all! Could honestly say it would be the worst Thai food we have ever had! Tasteless, over salted! Watery curry! For the $158 I spent just on food I was very disappointed
We loved our dinner from Rosebud Thai Restaurant last night, thank you! Food was absolutely delicious, and I was so grateful that my allergy needs could be catered for (I’m coeliac so I have to eat gluten free). Was ready quickly, the staff were lovely, and we all enjoyed it.
Kitchen team so friendly and made delicious spicy food. We all happy for your team and tradition food. Less cabbage under salad pls:) thank you
Our usual Thai restaurant had an 1.5 hour wait for takeaway, so we ordered from this restaurant instead. Very disappointed in the quality of food.
The curry puffs were good, coconut rice was ok, however the Panang curry & chicken larb were so dry, over cooked with very basic taste, just so bland.
I last ate here about 6 months ago & the food was great, so not sure if a new chef is cooking? However def won’t go back with this quality of food being served.
We really enjoyed our meal at Rosebud Thai. Pad Thai was great as was another Pad I can't remember. Staff were lovely too. I'd love to show you what it looked like but we ate it all)
This place is disgusting the fish we got was meant to be steamed and it was so old it tasted like pork crackle
Amazing service. Beautiful food. Chef came out to speak to us about vegan options too. Very happy and highly recommend
Visited Rosebud last weekend and was excited for a nice Thai dinner. Unfortunately was disappointed with this restaurant. The curries were watery and bland, the beef was tough and the chicken was dry. Did enjoy eating the curry puffs though. Probably wouldn't eat here again.
Very disappointed
We ordered special fried rice - pork was very dry and reheated.
From the wok - pepper beef - tough and dry.
Spring rolls were soft with little flavour.
It’s like going to a food court at a shopping centre and eating the food which has been sitting there all day,
Absolutely loved Rosebud Thai - we enjoyed their authentic Thai dishes and are definitely going to try their green papaya salad next time.
On the eve of lockdown five, we decided to indulge our Thai cravings and enjoy eating in (who knows we will be able to eat out next).
We ordered:
Son in Law eggs
Crispy fried eggy goodness with a well balanced tamarind sweet and sour sauce. Perfect winter comfort food.
Nuer Dad Deaw
No spice was spared in the nam jin - this knocked our socks off but went well with the marinated beef
Yum Pla Muk
Fresh, spicy calamari salad (loved the fresh herbs!). The calamari was perfectly cooked and the dressing was well balanced with a lot of chilli heat that slowly crept up on you.
Red Duck Curry
This mild, well spiced curry had plenty of aromatics and the veges were still crunchy. A generous serving with plenty of duck - the perfect way to end the meal and calm my palate down.
Thanks for having us, we will be back soon
