I came the other day bought qtr chicken it wasn't cooked through was red in the middle raw
Waste wasn't happy at all

Disgusting behaviour, staff member blew his nose, whipped his hand on his nose and then handled food with out washing his hands. After covid one would have thought people in food handling business would be a bit more on the ball then that.

Too expensive. Go to a proper restaurant for $5 to $10 more for a much, much better dinner.

Dudes running around to do orders while taking a phone order and lifting a massive bag of coal with the other hand and making something in a big pot all at the same time

Succulent and juicy. Really lovely chicken. Also gluten free, which was a great bonus. Very pleasant, helpful guys.

Took nearly 2 hours to get a cold 1/2 a chicken and what was steamed veggies, (only corn & peas) which was covered in gravy that was never asked for. Will not order again.

Best charcoal chicken and potato bake ever. Every time I come back to visit family in Rosebud the Charocoal chicken shop is my first take away stop. The guys who run this business are lovely and the food is amazing. Give thus place a go you'll keep going back

Delicious charcoal chicken, potato bake, chips, schnitzel roll to die for & they have garlic balls! The only other place I’ve managed to find garlic balls is in Healesville, so happy they have them here!
All their food in general is tasty & served with great friendly service. Definitely recommend this charcoal chicken shop, the best. Keep up the great work!?

Amazing chips and gravy. The chicken its cooked over hot charcoal and slightly sweet marinade on it. Have been back serveral times it is my staple choice for charcoal chicken in rosebud area

Don’t even bother going anywhere else. Best Charcoal Chicken I’ve ever had, and I’ve lived all along the Peninsula. Go the extra km’s from Dromana or Rye if you have to.
We get our once a week takeaway from here and it is always reliably great quality!
Great food, great price, and the owner and staff are so helpful and friendly.
Every week, without fail, chicken schnitzel/chips/gravy & chicken pasta salad!

Stayed near Rosebud during the New Years holidays. I was walking along the main street near the rosebud beach carpark and the whiff of charred chicken made me salivate.

I knew that night I need to have this chicken.
Eventually I found this little charcoal shop in the Woolworth car park and saw spits of chicken over a bed of real charcoal!

As it was the busy xmas/NY period the young friendly shopkeeper informed me I have to wait over 40 min if I didnt preorder. As I was hooked by this smell I was willing to wait. And I was so glad I did.

Having had hundreds of charcoal chickens in every state other than NT in Australia, I rate this chicken to be in the top 3 at least. The seasoning and smoky taste was on point, the meat was tender and juicy almost like it was sous vide. This place could easily charge $20 a chicken and I would buy it up every day. I literally went back twice more for this chicken during my holiday week in the area.

The shop owner is super friendly and hardworking too. Keep up the good work! I hope to be back in Rosebud in the future and eat this chicken again.

Best charcoal chicken ever had! The chickens are moist and the chips crispy and light. The salads are more gourmet than your average chicken shop all super tasty. The young man behind the counter is super friendly. 5 stars!

Chicken was very pink and undercooked had to throw it out, chips were fine though, maybe a bit over cooked

SO GOOD! Absolutely amazing food and fantastic price, plus it is in a great location with a playground and the beach right near by.

Great place. The chicken is as good as any good charcoal chicken place but the sides is what makes this place stand out-the potato salad, the bake was so good, the wings are killer. Sebastian and Jack are friendly and the service is great. Loved by locals and tourists alike.
