Rosanna Fish & Chips

Too oily, I only ordered 4 potato cakes and 2 dim sims. The potato cakes were saturated with oil. Was disgusting. I think the oil is past it's use by date or the oil temperature was too low. The potato cakes were probably the worst in Melbourne that I have ever had. Fist visit today, last visit today.

Chips and flake crunchy and golden. The flake itself was quite a thick cut, perfectly cooked and tasted so fresh will be our new regular place

Recently visited here for lunch and found a very clean & well set out shop with friendly staff. I purchased a hamburger and dined in.
The hamburger itself tasted very good however the bun is questionable. I found soon after handling the burger the bun started too fall apart in my hands making the burger hard to handle without making a mess. 5 minutes later a customer started eating his burger on the next table and made comment that his bun on the burger was doing the same thing, his exact wording was my bun started to disintegrate, he approached the staff who gave him another bun. I’ve never had this happen before the bun seemed fresh but just fell apart

The worker serving me on Thursday was lovely. He was very friendly and nice. The lot burger was very yummy. Would recommend eating there.

Have given 4 starts purely because I didn't go in person I had an uber order. I did contact the company through uber with my complaints of overcooked seafood sticks, chewy calamari and dark brown chips. Oil long overdue for changing.

This place is the best the gluten-free chips and fish is so good for anyone allergic
In other words it’s done in 10 minutes or less so I highly recommend it

Just got a food delivered. It was absolutely disgusting. The potato cakes and dim sims were cooked in old burnt oil. It also looked like they had been recooked. They were also completely burnt. The burger was burnt dry and obviously a patty and bun that had been sitting there for a long time. They were cold, dry and disgusting. It was also the wrong burger. I have been there before and they were ok. But never again.they just couldn't be bothered and I had to throw the food out.

Fabulous food and customer service! We had an issue with delivery - no fault of the restaurant - and they worked to rectify and make sure we received our fish & chip feast hot and on time. Calamari, chips and barra all delish but special shoutout to the potato cakes!

Staff prepare your order promptly and they are one of the only fish and chip shops open until 9pm-hence a lot of people waiting. Our fish was pretty ordinary and tasted far from fresh. The chips were a bit soft and tasted like the oil needed changing. Ok place if you are hungry.

Wow seriously good fish and chips. Ordered the "dinner for two" pack and was not disappointed. Initially when I saw the size of my grilled flake I thought we had been ripped off, but once I took a bite I immediately changed my mind. Tender fish, great seasoning, was just superb. Chips were crunchy with a decent seasoning of salt, potato cakes were solid. The pack came with calamari rings - I would usually stear clear of these from take away shops, but my word they were delicious! All in all, would definitely go back, up there with the best fish and chips I've had.

We absolutely love Rosanna Fish and Chippery. Great fish and chips is our favourite take away but it’s hard to find somewhere that gets both the fish AND the chips spot on every time. Pav and the team and friendly and have brought an excellent change of management that’s made regulars of us. I recommend the grilled salmon pack and greek salad! If you’ve been a local a long time, give this a new try, and if you’re new to the area, make this the first place you try.

Unfortunately my experience this time round wasn't fantastic.
I ordered some potatoes cakes and dims sims. The dim sims were nice.the potato cakes on the other hand were terribble they were bubbly small and just full of oil not nice at all. On a good note staff are very nice and friendly.

Super delicious meal. Everything super crispy and fried in fresh oil. Nothing was soggy or oily like some other restaurants. We ordered the dinner for 2 pack with some extras. Came with a huge serve of chips. Workers are all lovely and work fast. Can’t recommend them enough!

Foods good but for heavans sake invest in some gloves and tongs. Everything is done in bear hands!

I do not recommend this place at all. Grilled fish was a tiny portion, lacked flavour. The potato cakes were really oily and not enough actual potato. Try elsewhere, shame.

First time ordered from this shop. I ordered grilled fish not battered and I like that they put some spice and herb on the fish and they also put it on a piece of foil. The other shop I used to go puts it on paper and it sticks to paper, not pleasant.
Although the chips could be more tasty and better color. Wish them best with their business.

Highly recommend. Had amazing chips that have kept me going back. Super friendly staff that accomodate to my gluten free needs. 10/10

New Owners have turned this place into a diamond in the rough. On a trip from Queensland recently i was treated to some of the BEST takeaway food ive had. The potato cakes (scallops) are simply delightful - freshly made each morning and cooked in crispy batter. Needless to say the rest of the menu is delicious, freshly made (eg, the burger patties are made in-house). Best regards, Glenn. I'll be back!
