Room 8 Pool Lounge reviews
31The experience is average, because I personally like to play pool, but the table equipment is relatively old. The tablecloth should be maintained irregularly. The ball is also bumpy. The environment feels relatively dark. I am not very satisfied.
Great little venue for a quick few games of pool, also doesn't cost the earth.
The music is very quiet almost to the point you can not hear it.
Its not a licensed venue either which is a missed opportunity.
But then it feels safer also. My 15 year old daughter enjoyed a few games of pool at 11pm on Saturday night and it was peaceful
The bad attitude of the front desk is outrageous. One time is enough to not want to go again, thank you for the second time.
Yeh pretty dodgy. Was waiting for the pyscho to come out of the elevator to scare us. Out dated. Needs music.and alcohol
Seemed OK, tables seem ok and music was ok. However, lots of graffiti in toilets, felt pretty rough. Unfortunately got kicked off and not allowed to finish the game we were part way through. Other places I've been to let you finish so this was a sore point especially since the place was pretty much empty. That experience left me disappointed most of all.
Reliable tables, good hire rate, and despite it's popularity we've always managed to get a table when we want.
Great place to play pool. Just need to move some of the furniture out of the way as they become an obstacle during the game.
Good big pool tables. Felt a bit dodgy having to leave my passport while I played, but understandable after the deposit was explained to me. As you can pay for how long you play instead of for a set amount of time (which is also an option)
Only really had problem with people vaping in the venue.
Nice place, good pool tables but their music was awful. Me and my friends went there to play pool and not too long after we started they started to play music that was just nasty. For example they started playing WAP by Cardi B. If you like that then cool, but don't make everyone else listen to it. Otherwise not a bad place, staff is nice and friendly, good atmosphere, they just need to fix the music.
Reasonably well kept. Straight forward pool room at standard prices. American tables with generous pockets. American cues and 2 1/4-inch balls used also. 12 tables from memory but does get busy 5pm onwards.
A semi-decent pool lounge. On initial inspection of our pool table, there was quite a lot of dirt and grime which gave the table an overall dirty look. There wasn’t any billiard chalk to rub our sticks with. The toilets look like they haven’t been cleaned in weeks, and the furniture needs to be refurbished. The music was good. Otherwise, at $20/hour, an okay place to pass a bit of time.
They said hours started when light was on, light was on when we were at reception. Then when we walked back it was 1 minute late so they charged 15mins extra, dodgy and disgusting
Nice tables but only 8 ball, no snooker as they mention that they have snooker but they don’t. Otherwise everything was good.
Good little quiet place, with fair pricing.
Several tables to accommodate for large groups of people. Just be wary as you will have to walk up 3 flights of stairs to get to it, or take the elevator
Entrance is located right to the side of the police station, large space with a lot of tables, saw them being sanitized and wiped down after each group left.
Would definitely come back again.
Surprisingly great place to go with your mates for a few hours, whether you can play pool or not it's fun to give it a go. (Toilets were a bit iffy though)
Dim lights, illegal poker games, filthy toilets, no alcohol, dirty looks from other patrons. Almost as if it was a place only for certain people. The place was trashed, got out of there as quick as we could. The entire place was just gross. If I could rate zero stars I would. Definitely seemed like a shady place
Love the mahjong and pool tables
Pretty cheap per hour
But you have to make sure to say that are playing per hour or else they would ask you to pay a deposit
No snooker table. Decent pool table. Overall it's good. Have comfortable sitting area good for a group of people
