Quality of the job wasn’t good. Paint was peeling. When called to get it fixed as we were still in our warranty period, they couldn’t found us in the system and just sent us in the a loop.

Our tradesman was wonderful. Polite, professional and communicated well with us. Work is great. Cleaned around the house each day. Our roof in our unit block looks far superior compared to the others. We are very happy.

DO NOT use Roof Seal.

Paid deposit and then months passed before work was finally completed. Extremely poor customer service and a near complete lack of communication to organise when the work would occur. The sub contractor who did the roof repair was a great guy, in stark contrast to everyone employed directly by Roof Seal. Rude and amateurish in how they deal with paying customers.

Had a quote from roofseal, the house is approximately 12sqm and a roof restoration quote came in at $12500, red flag was when I originally called to make an appointment the were very insistent of having my wife home to listen to the salesman, all was scripted from the time he pulled out his folder. I’m one of the lucky ones as I didn’t read any reviews prior to the consultation and all that is mentioned by others were validated
I’ve recently had a roof restoration by a local company that has 4.9 star rating, fantastic result and extremely happy and it only costed $3800.

Roof seal completed our roof restoration and painted 2 years ago. Initial sales gentleman was lovely, contractors were ok. We have had problems with the work completed and it is now clear the roof was not repaired in many areas with the old tiles simply painted over to look fresh. Have been trying to contact them for 3 months to have someone look at the work and we are constantly dismissed over the phone advising they will call us back, and none of our emails are responded to. I didn't want to believe that a business like this would consistently dismiss customer concerns, am disappointed and would not recommend. As a parent of a young family this is an unnecessary headache and we are now forced to go through ACCC.

Ripped off! Very expensive and we were left with many more broken tiles than we had before they started the job. If I hadn't withheld payment I don't believe they would have come back. They did a terrible job and were horrible to deal with. The salesman offered us discounts when he quoted the job and said we needed to pay a deposit that day to secure the price. Thus we made a huge mistake no getting other quotes. If we had of got other quotes they would have been around half the price and I am sure they would have done a better job.

Hi we signed with roof seal to have our roof repaired and sealed in November 2020 as of September 2022 the work has not been started despite many calls and promises and when we have asked for our deposit to be returned they then refuse to answer or return phone calls and emails, and the manager peter is the worst every excuse under the sun. DO NOT USE THIS COMANY EVER.

Roof Seal cleaned and repaired our terra cotta roof on a Californian Bungalow in Brunswick and did a fantastic job. The tradesman was very particular about quality and it shows in the final outcome. Both neighbours have commented on the quality of the tradesman involved and the updated look of the roof.

We signed up to have our roof resealed at the end of Jan after being told by the salesman it would be completed within 2 or 3 weeks. We were told a contractor would contact us. After hearing from no one after 5 weeks, I called them and was told someone would get back to me. A week later someone did. They said I should never have been told 2 to 3 weeks as the normal period for completion is 7 to 8 weeks. He said he'd find out what was happening and get back to me. He never did. The 7 to 8 week deadline has passed and I still have not heard from them. I emailed them last week to cancel the contract. Again, no response. They a a pack of liars who tell you what you want to hear to get you to sign up, take your deposit and that's it. No better than call centre scammers. Stay away.

Don't bother using this company, they don't honour their full 7-year guarantee on both product and workmanship. I have a problem with the product used and the workmanship, and despite several telephone calls, e-mails and an inspection by Roof Seal to resolve the issue, Roof Seal will not fix the problem and are 'dragging' their feet in responding.

Terrible company to deal with. Took 3 months to complete the job every excuse under the sun.
Bloke that completed the work to start with, one of the most useless blokes I've meet. They had to get another tradesman to fix the work. You can only polish a nugget so far. Still waiting on spare tiles that are in the work order.
Would recommend any roof restoration company over roofseal.

A very unprofessional company and employees who do not tell the truth, do not follow up, set unrealistic expectations and leave people in the lurch. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I obtained a quote from Roof Seal in November 2020. Agreed to the quote paid a deposit however deferred the works until the new year. Contact roof seal in January to book the job in. Was told that someone would call me back to schedule. Did not hear for 3 weeks. Contacted again was told that someone would call me back. Did not hear for 2 weeks. Contact again and was told that they cannot do the work however not sure why not. Asked to speak to management. Was told that someone would get back to me. Did not hear for a week. Contacted again and was told that someone would come out and look at the job to provide feedback why the job could not be completed however give us your account details as we will pay your deposit back. A representative came out and told me that the job could be completed and that I would hear back from management to schedule. Deposit was refunded without. Contacted them again and was told that they did not want to do my job as it was originally under quoted. Again asked to speak to management however have not received a call back.

Extremely disappointed and upset.

Booked a free appraisal as per their own website. Arrived late, refused to do anything saying he won't do it for free, complained about wasting his time when he arrived late. Starting spewing out large quotes for roof restorations when we only wanted a check. Rude. Avoid.

We paid a deposit in June 2020 for the gutters, facia and downpipes of our house to be replaced. The work hasn't been completed yet and we can't get Roof Seal to provide a starting date. Phone calls aren't being returned. We contacted Consumer Affairs today for advice.

The customer service is shocking, every time we have called to ask for a start date they say they will get back to us and then never return the call. Currently our start date has been pushed back by 3months and we are still waiting. We were finally told a start date and then the trades never turned up. When we rang to ask what was happening, once again they said we would give us a call back. We never got a call back so we then emailed them to complain, the blame was then deflected on to us with no apology.

Received a quote from Roof Seal which was $6000 above other quotes i have received recently for the same job and materials.

Paid a deposit and was given a time frame of 3-4 weeks for commencement of work.
5 weeks after, emailed them and they said I had cancelled (previous communication was querying cancellation policy). I advised that I would be now and sent through cancellation form. Waiting for the deposit to be returned, 2 weeks now and they haven’t acknowledged any of my 3 emails.
Absolutely poor professionalism and responsiveness.
If I don’t have my deposit back in the next week, I’ll be going to the ombudsman!

Rip off! Rip off! A $ 3000 job been told $ 10000 took my deposit of $ 1500 when i called up to cancel the next day been told i can't get my deposit back! See you in Court Roof Seal!

All I wanted was for someone to come out and inspect and quote my roof for a clean and mortar repair, but I was told my wife and I HAD to be there for some huge sales pitch, tried calling but got a machine so left my details, I got calls back at ridiculous times (7pm!) and finally set a date, only for them to turn up a day early when I wasn't home, they obviously don't need the work, very unprofessional.

Charge 300% more than others, then get work done by small roof contractors
Don’t listen to calls and messages after they leave
Pay contractors less money who don’t finish job efficiently
