I could not rate this place highly enough, the people are so lovely and extremely generous with absolutely everything meals, bedding, toiletries, laundry, toys for the little ones to play with, if you're in a pinch and have to stay here be prepared to be overwhelmed with kindness.

Thank you so much to all the volunteers at the Ronald McDonald house in parkville from the Marchioni family

Great place to stay in some of the most stressful times! As I told staff, beautiful place to hate coming back to. But because of illness not the house or staff!

Our stay at the Ronald McDonald, Melb was stress free, We could focus on my Son without the hassles of being in and out of motels and carports.
Families can support each other. We got together one night and we all cooked a roast and sat around talking.
There was however an issue.
In the middle of the night the smoke alarms went off, We were on the top floor.

It was a false alarm if there was a real fire, we wouldn't have gotten out, the doors to the balcony were nailed shut? Bedroom and bathrooms only opened a little bit.
My 15 year old was severely burnt in a house fire so it was stressful and upsetting.
You got families who would take advantage of the free foods left for families who struggle financially. There is always foods to help, everyone who stayed with us, weren't impressed with greedy people.
Also was families not cleaning up after themselves.but all in all it was still a good place to stay.
Thankyou to all the volunteers who help out using everyday possible.especially dropping us off and picking us up at the shopping complex.
Keep up the good work and thankyou:)

A wonderful place to stay for families in need of the Royal Children's Hospital services. Staff are helpful. House is clean and warm and close by to amenities.

This is a wonderful Godsend to parents/carers of sick children, in our case at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. It’s just 5minutes walk across the park to the hospital. Ronald McDonald House has a range of rooms, some for families with their own kitchen/bathroom and others with close by shared bathrooms. There are delightful bright and cheerful communal areas - kitchens, dining area, outdoor decks, playroom, playground etc. The staff could not be more caring and helpful. If you need accommodation close to the hospital because you are caring for a sick child, this is the perfect place.

Ronald McDonald house charities do an amazing job of looking after those in need who have sick kids, going above and beyond to help when you are in need.
Steggles came and put on a Christmas turkey and roast dinner while we were there and also had Santa’s workshop for families to do Christmas shopping (free gifts) as it’s hard to even think about when you have sick children.

AMAZING! The team at Ronald McDonald House Parkville are simply amazing. My family and I cannot thank you enough. From the meal nights to the friendly greeting from all staff and volunteers. So many of us would be lost without this charity. Thank you everyone at Ronald McDonald House Parkville. A recent review paints this place in a very poor light, and I'm sorry, I just do not feel that the review by Luke G is anywhere near accurate. This isn't a hotel Luke. It's a comfortable accommodation for those who desperately need it.like my family. Thanks again everyone.

Nick and the team at Ronald McDonald House Parkville do an amazing job. They are friendly, welcoming and could not be more accommodating. The House has slowly transformed since Nick started, with lots of improvents to the house. Thank you all for everything you do.

Safety standards are extremely poor and staff are less than adiquite to do the job needed also this place is an OHS nightmare and needs to be addressed before someone is seriously injured also donations never make it to there rightful place, non English speaking people are not informed properly of on bacic things such as washing machines are free to use and so on also the number displayed on the door has been disconnected and staff will not answer the door after hours so if you lock yourself out expect to be out in the cold Melbourne air until either a resident let's you into the main house then still you not be able to get into your room or until staff decide to grace you with there presence all in all should not be considered if you can afford other arrangements

Ronald McDonald house in Parkville is an invaluable resource for family of sick kids. It takes a weight off your shoulders when you don't have to worry about accommodation in the city.

I don't K kw what we would of done with out Ronald McDonald house. The staff were fantastic and the family's staying at the house were great supportive. It was nice at the end if the day spent at the hospital with your child to sit back and have a coffee and chat with other parents. They have a shared kitchen, washing machines and dryers, everything you need for long term stays you have a locked cupboard to be able to go shopping to keep costs done. The rooms have very comfortable beds a fridge and TV and DVD player air-con and heating. I was very overwhelmed by the great support and friends I made during my stay. For young kids there is a indoor play room and also a great play area outside so the are always happy and amused. Over all I would recommend if eligible to stay and they have a room it will make your stay easier. It is only about 300 meters from the royal Melbourne's children's hospital.

How great was it being offered assistance with accommodation for parents with children at the R. C. H who live in rural areas. Many thanks

Without the support of Ronald McDonald house I would not be able to give my son such high level of support when he is staying in RCH

I dont wish to sound ungrateful for a place to stay.but.the people above us were walking around banging and draging things up until midnight.it was hard to sleep and relax after hours in the hospital. I have to say it was 2 of the worst nights ive had.

Thought it was home away from home and a great place but then our car got broken into the first week while parked in the ronald garage all baby stuff was taken so lost a few hundred since weve been here and they have been no help to try and retrieve it, not to mention the leaks in the roofs they keep claiming to get fixed but still havent. Not happy!

Lifesaving place to have when our son needed it. Please donate where possible. Even 50c at your local McDonald's. If you only knew how much good it brings families going through the toughest of the tough having sick and terminally ill children you would open up your wallets or purse a little more.
