6Beautiful building, fully equipped kitchen with some food provided, tea and coffee facilities, staffed by volunteers who are very welcoming and helpful. We stayed over Christmas while our newborn daughter was in ICU and they put on Christmas breakfast (crepes with fresh fruit) and lunch (ham, turkey, roast vegies and dessert (apple pie or plum pudding). And they placed stockings with some goodies and lollies outside our door for Christmas morning. I cannot speak highly enough of RMHC and "thank you" doesn't seem adequate to express how grateful we were to be able to stay at RMH North Fitzroy

5 stars because they fulfil their purpose which is providing free accomodation.
The dining/lounge area is amazing, the kitchen is decent too.
The beds desperately need wheel locks on them and apart from noise I guess I have no other complaints.
We cannot fault the service and care provided to us when my 8 year old had to go to hospital in Melbourne. We had never been in this situation before but the amazing support from the RMH staff and volunteers was just priceless. Thank you is simply not enough.
Had the pleasure of baking and cooking meals for the families living in the facility. The building is incredible, they've done so much to make it feel like home for everyone living there. There's plenty to do and it's located in a quiet leafy street. Staff were so lovely and appreciated all the effort we put in to the day. They couldn't have been more accomodating. I'd love to go back and do it again in the future. Really worthwhile.
