Robinsons Bookshop reviews
54Here’s something that has bugged me forever! Eftpos surcharges. There are overheads involved in running a business that get accounted for in the margins. Why isn’t the use of your electronic payment facility one of them? I just paid $60 for a paperback book (which is bad enough) then they stack more on top to pay by card. Doesn’t give you any incentive to support the bricks & mortar shop.
Robinsons is the type of bookstore they used to have back in the old days. I've been shopping with them for many years now. It's a nice cozy bookstore tucked away just outside the main shopping mall. They're stocked with familiar titles, but also niche books you may be looking for. I highly recommend them!
This place is delightful, it's always clean, and the staff always seem lovely and excited about books.
It's a nice book store in Frankston Staff are friendly and helpful they didn't have what l was looking for but were helpful in following up thier stock of the book l wanted to purchased and had a really good selection of books l know l would have enjoyed reading and sharing with others.
A great place to browse for a book. So many to choose from! Staff are always friendly and helpful.
A large bookstore with plenty of genres covered. Always helpful to call ahead to ensure they have the book you're after.
Best bookshop for miles around. I've been going here for the past 30+ years. When the children were small we would make a day out and go to Robinson's bookshop buy more books than we needed (if that's possible) and then find a place for lunch.
If you need a particular book and it's not on the shelf, they are so helpful and will find it and give you a call when it comes in. The staff are so knowledgeable and never look under pressure and always have a smile and a laugh with you.
I have now introduced my grandchildren to this shop and we now can have coffee and cold drinks with a special for them.
You will not be disappointed by going here.
Great selection of books and friendly staff. Lost 1 star, because there is a divide to close to the counter, so if you squat or kneel to view the books at the bottom, customers can not get through.
Such amazing vibes in the store, first time I ever went in my favourite song was playing teehee
A lot of variety in genre and author, sections are very organised and the staff are so nice! Definitely have a look if you're around.
Wow.what can I say, I lost an hour in here without even knowing. Amazing selection of SF books and really friendly staff to help you out. Also they have a Cafe which I can't wait to try.
My family frequents the store, the store are always helpful and takes you to a location they don't just point. Good range of books and other items prices are decent for a stand alone store. Rather support them than the big mobs not that I have anything against them.
My favourite bookshop ever! I always love visiting Robinson's for my own book collection as well as for gifts for friends and family (and then I usually find myself something too hehe). My favourite books to purchase are cooking & lifestyle books (the kind you put on the coffee table) and I always am blown away by the beautiful and diverse range there is.
Went in the shop looking for an obscure book with specific needs and although the shop didn't carry that book. The staff then set about finding my book on the internet and gave me a number that they use to identify the book and how I could obtain it. That's service
Haven't been here for a few years, but it's still the best bookshop in the area, with friendly staff
The store management was terrible I bought a book a few weeks before Christmas for a present and they refused to return it or even exchange it for the next one in the series, We had proof of purchase and yet they continued to say that they would not expect a refund.
Went to get some Mr Men books for my son.
Large shop, loads of books and various other items, friendly staff, reasonable prices.
Such a lovely bookshop! Love the layout, range of books, helpful staff. Fantastic little cafe just adds to the wonderful experience. Could spend the whole day here.
Stunning.when you step into Robinson's you are transported to that magical place your mind goes to rest when you read. Its a wonderful place to be inspired or guided to selecting your next paper journey.
Staff at Robinson's in Frankston went above and beyond to assist me, in finding the 1 copy of a book that was in stock but couldn't be located. Someone had obviously put it away where it didn't belong. Ended up purchasing more than previously planned, and will be returning to buy more. Didn't know such good service still existed anywhere until I re-discovered this shop.
Really nice staff and such a big store, staff were happy to help me find what i needed and took time to talk to me, Thankyou
