Robinsons Bookshop

Went and bought a $200 gift card at their Chadstone store and the staff member Kev was rude. Told me there were no more envelopes and she was too busy to get some more. Then told me I would be charged Credit Card surcharge even though I wanted to pay via Eftpos but still got charged. Would not recommend this store - the staff member was apathetic and clearly didn't want to help. I have shopped at their Glen Waverley store which is much nicer and have never been charged credit card or Eftpos surcharges. Can't understand how a mall shop can charge their shoppers a fee anyway. I could have bought this online and wouldn't have been charged anything extra. I won't bother next time - just go to another bookshop where at least I can get half-decent service.

But I was surprised by the surcharge on using my credit card. Charged for shopping with you. Shame and just before Xmas too.

Real book shop - what could be better? Looking at 2 previous reviews I must say keep doing what you're doing. I've carried my own shopping bags for decades & what's15 cents anyway? I'm a devoted fan of Robinsons, & also of Dymocks, Collins (Croydon) & of course The Hill of Content. Plenty of books to go around & it's most important that we support the actual shops or there won't be any left. Then we'll be stuck with online shopping & too much unnecessary packaging. There, I vented & feel heaps better while maintaining my grumpy old woman status.

Lovely staff always willing to chat about books or help you find what you're looking for. Have even helped me request a book from another one of their stores so I could collect it locally

Very friendly staff, knowledgeable and people who actually read the books they are recommending 11/10 would buy too many books there again

Great little book store. I usually go there to pick up classic story books for kids as gifts. 'The Enchanted Wood'

Great range, if they don't have it they'll order it in for you.usually only 2 weeks wait.

It's the first time i have visited a store in ages and my first visit was quite good and i had fun looking at the huge selection of that were available and i found the staff quite friendly

The nearest bookstore to the Chadstone SC bus stop. You can find this sanctuary on the left hand side from the entrance, opposite to Starbucks coffee shop. I love the children's section and literature, they offers many choices for kids!

Beautiful book store simply missing some amazing classics by Albert Camus and other revered authors of past!

Don't shop at this bookstore. They are so petty. Got a shock when I purchased 3 large books from this store. I was told that they were not going to put them in a bag for me unless I paid 15cents. They can go to hell. Never shop here again.

Great little book store - a little overpriced, anything online is arguably more competitive. However, you don't get the experience of standing in aisles, previewing books and looking at the wealth of choice and physical appearance of books on the shelf. Service from staff is good - they know most if not all stock is located and are happy to help chase down the odd book you're after.
