I took my Swiss watch to a jeweller who claimed that my watch was done and dusted. Took it to Rory and with some minor repair my pride and joy was fixed in 48 hours. Very happy

Replying to "Such professionalism and craftsmanship! " I don't know how this review appeared attributed to me. I have not used the services of this establishment and have not been in Fairfield for over ten years!

I took my watch to Rory to have him look at why the second hand seemed to be getting stuck. I disengaged the motors as it appeared to be under stress and wanted to avoid any further damage. When I went to pick the watch up, Rory explained that the second hand behaviour was the low battery warning. He also wanted a "word with me" about disengaging the motors. When I explained my logic, he agreed that he could see my thinking.

When he handed me the watch, I found it strange that it was not set to the right date or time as I imagined that an horologist would be quite particular about having all devices always set to the correct time. An eye for detail and all that. Anyway, it was easily enough fixed but I still find it odd.

Fast forward two weeks and the watch has started losing time. I went to correct the time this morning and the entire crown came out when unscrewing it. So my watch went in with no issues, just a low battery, and is now losing time with a crown that comes out when I try to set the time. I've had the watch for 3 years and never had one issue with it until now,

So it's off to someone else who can fix these new problems.

Rory is a lovely guy who is a complete watch geek (that is a compliment). He was thorough, professional and extremely helpful. I walked away thinking about how I could engage with him again!

Rory was recommended to myself by Rolex for the servicing and restoration of an old 1970s Rolex. Work by Rolex themselves would have devalued the timepiece. Rory did an exceptional job. The watch looked beautiful and his work added to its value. I would not take a vintage Rolex to anyone apart from Rory.

Restored mum's heirloom watch and make it look brand new. The only guy to take your watches for potential restoration. He is a lovely man to deal with. I was previously shafted by another supposed great horologist in Bulleen who is meant to be an Omega Expert.

Prior to doing the whole restoration, he walked me through everything that had to be done.

This place it's amazing, I was ripped off in other place for a battery this guy fixed two of my watches not even for a quarter of the price I paid that time I'll be back soon with other of my watches.

I bought my fathers 1987 Omega Seamaster watch to Rory to repair the band after Omega wanted to send it to Sweden to be repaired, he had the band laser welded and put in a new battery wonderful customer service and nice little shop

The ONLY person to send your watch to for repair and service. Lovely fellow to deal with and can repair the most complicated watch you can throw at him.
