The job was to remodel an old bathroom and replace a spa bath with a walk-in shower. Apparently just in time as the floor boards had rotted underneath. Ravi replaced the floor, waterproofed it then built the shower base on top and waterproofed that. He was very good at explaining engineering issues and giving sensible advice so we could work out the best approach for each challenge. The end result is just great!

Ravi helped transform our leaky shower-over-bathtub into a shower that was fully waterproofed, expertly tiled and functional. And it looks fantastic. He explained each step clearly, made helpful suggestions and left the house tidy after each day. Ravi is a clear and friendly communicator who is very responsive to questions and requests. Will definitely have him back for other projects around the house.

Shower cubicle floor tile had a crack. Connected with Ravi for tile replacement.
More damage was found with water leaks when shower floor tiles were pressed with normal fist pressure (watery bubbling sound heard from below tiles)

Hence, we had to re-build the entire shower floor (before it caused any further damage) including pulling off one vertical wall tiling.
This included removal of shower screens and dismantling of old shower base.

Some drain pipe re-works to replace the long channel drain with a 100mm circular/square drain at the center of new shower floor.
Add new concrete base, new water-proofing and then add new tiling.
Complete new epoxy re-grouting to entire shower cubicle and siliconing/re-caulking including new shower screen install.

Ravi did a fantastic job from start to end, fully professional skills with all trade tools required to perform the jobs.

All top quality materials are used by Ravi as we could see by the packaging, be it tiles/cement/groute/groute binders etc.
We never felt so much work was done.

For the new floor tiling, Ravi has used 10mm thickness floor tiles (builders generally use 7mm thickness as cost save) and 2.0 mm groute gap between floor tiles.
After finishing Epoxy grouting, the groute gaps are almost invisible which is excellent.

Strongly recommend Ravi for any re-build/re-modelling works for homes as a trusted and dependable resource.

(P. S:
1. Builder (reputed) had used foam material below shower floor tiling as water-proofing material to speed up home building process which is within the building regulation.
Hence, cannot find any fault.
Outcome and pain will be felt by the user only after few years!

2. Over time, foam can/will compress leading to tile movement, in turn cracks in the groute between shower floor tiles causing water to seep into the foam layer.
Foam eventually soaks with water (accumulates water too as we saw) and softens, which will never be found to normal eyes and continues to damage like slow poison!

3. Builder had used channel drain along the length of the shower.
Strongly suggest to avoid using channel drains from maintenance/cleaning aspects and also biggest source of leaks as most builders/sub-con tradies never seal the gap between the channel drain edge and the shower floor tiles.

4. If Groute level is below the floor tile, it could be possible indication of invisible cracks/time to regroute etc to extend the life.)

Ravi turned around our bathroom renovation (not including vanity) in one week! Hard working and dedicated to getting the job done quickly so that we could move back into our house. Great communication throughout and good management of other trades (plumber and shower screen installer). Highly recommended.
