Had the best weekend in this caravan park again. The owners are the friendliest most easy going people we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with and the park amenities are fantastic. Thanks Glen and Andrea for another memorable weekend away with family. We love making family memories in your park

I was watching my two kids swimming in the pool area for some time before one of the other parents we knew there sent her 3 boys in to swim while I was there. I observed one of the boys bomb into the water and said to him, no bombing, there is a sign on the gate "no bombing. " He didn't do it again.

The kids (whom are all 12 and under) all continued to swim for the afternoon jumping in along the edge, not disrupting other swimmers or being a nuisance to any other swimmers, when Bonnie (whom I have come to learn work's in reception and is the owner Glen's sister in law), screamed, and I do mean aggressively screamed, GET OUT, GET OUT NOW! She charged through the pool gate, so I asked why and she yelled "because the boy had bombed into the pool". I said I saw him actually just scissor jump in at the edge. She argued with me before walking off and proceeded to yell something to which I was later told by the other mum and another child, that the part I had missed her say was "IF I SEE YOU GET BACK IN THE POOL AGAIN, I WILL DRAG YOU OUT, AND DON'T TAKE ME FOR A FOOL BECAUSE I MEAN IT. " The boy she yelled at was left terrified and wouldn't join in with his friends until we saw her drive out of the park.

The following morning I checked out at the time of 10 am and rebooked thinking it was unlikely I would be staying again, but another mum wanted my cabin if I didn't use that time myself. After I booked with Bonnie who was working at the desk, I said to her that on a separate note, I felt that she acted completely inappropriately at the pool the day before and that if I see her talk to a child like that again, I would report it. She launched straight back with the same aggressive attempt to intimidate me, stating that she is not there to be abused and that I should go somewhere else if I wasn't happy with the manner she addressed inappropriate behaviour. Once I had asked her to just stop and listen to me, I replied with the fact that I had absolutely no issue with her calling out bad behaviour, as I had done so before when one of the boy's had bombed in, but that the way she had gone about it was totally inappropriate and very aggressive. Instead of apologising or taking on board my concern, which I adressed with her very calmly, she continued her rant and asked if I would like to see the cctv. When I replied yes, she just carried on yelling at me. Again, I confirmed what I had told her and walked out the office. Two other women who were guests there and had been in the office at this time, had heard her say, as I had gone to step outside, that" NEXT TIME SHE WILL GET THE GLOVES OUT" and asked me if I had heard this.which I hadn't.

Twenty minutes later I recieved a call from Glen, the owner of Riverview Caravan Park. He actually owns Mt Buffallo Caravan Park on the other side of the river as well.

I calmly discussed what had occurred by the pool and also about what had happened with Bonnie. Glen then went onto say that because I hadn't heard it myself that I was an INSINUATING LIAR and that I should have been watching my kid's, and continued to carry on about other kid's bombing into the pool the previous day to this incident which h is completely irrelevant to what had happened. I replied the same way as I did to his sister in law, to which he was very offended by the fact I had confronted her, that I had no issue with calling out issues with people or children not following rules, but again, it was aggressive and unexceptable. I also said that he was there to run a family caravan park and kids are there to have a nice time. He got VERY frustrated and put me on loud speaker when I repeated what had been said to my back as I had walked out the office, for me to say it to Bonnie, which I did. He then told me he was cancelling my future booking and that I was not welcome at his park, and I was to get my caravan or whatever is was I had and go away, and then hung up the phone on me.

So take from it what you will. I am not ok with this, and would much rather visit one of the many other beautiful parks in the region.

Absolutely fabulous 3 night stay. We were upgraded to a bigger cabin so that we could be closer to our family in caravans. Great amenities. Comfy queen bed. Basic necessities in the bathroom with a fully equipped kitchen in the cabin. Hosts are brilliant. Would definitely come again.

Caravan park is in a quiet location and has modern facilities and it was in perfect place for Mt Buffulo. It allows for quick access to all walks and lookouts in national park. Great location and staff extremely friendly.

We used a powered site which was situated next to the river (a great place to sit under the trees with a glass of your favourite beverage watching the water go by). It was easy access and a reasonable size site. (There were many perm style sites behind us but none were occupied). The caravan sites have been well set up with crushed rock bases for a good rain run off. The amenities have been upgraded and are well placed for use. The showers were piping hot, and toilets clean. Also has a new pool and plenty of bbqs. Fire pits are also available.
This park is 5min from the Porepunkah Pub and a short drive to Bright.
Would recommend.

Well isn't this just a lovely place!

With the Buckland river at the back, easy access to river. Shallow for the little kids with deeper bits for the bigger ones. If the river isn't your thing there is also a pool, a playground too.

Walking around the park is just so beautiful the exact experience you want being in this region.

The people who run the park are just so lovely and delightful. Beautiful people that match the beauty of this park.

We stayed in a cabin with everything we needed, but there are many sites for caravans and tents.
In saying that I looked at the camp kitchen and it was great, all facilities you would need are in the park.

Bonus, there are BBQs dotted all along the park to be used with about 3 of them having river views. Where you could bbq a storm while the kids had a splash.

We came in autumn it was just stunning, summer here would be an absolute treat.

Thank you we loved our stay.

We returned to Riverview Caravan Park with our family earlier this year to enjoy memories made from our regular holidays there when our kids were growing up over 20 years ago.

The park is looking better than ever! New amenities blocks, fully equipped camp kitchens with big screen smart TVs (that even got NRL games!) and warm and welcoming hosts. We stayed in one of their cabins and enjoyed comfortable sleep, plenty of extra bedding available, parking was easy, the roads are kept neat and tidy and in fact the whole park was the same. The tennis court and basketball hoop were easily accessed and great fun. The whole place was so clean, especially the toilet blocks - all the time night and day. We never once found them to need attention.
The location of the park is quiet, at the bottom of Mt Buffalo yet still a stroll to the beautiful Punka Pub and an easy and safe bike ride to Bright on the dedicated rail trail. This area is still breathtaking in the night skies and autumn days. Looking forward to staying at Riverview again soon but with a caravan.

A damn perfect place for relaxing.

Cabin has a reasonable sized for 2 people and can fit up to 5 people.
It is a 'average' type for 'camping/caravanning' - not 'a 5 star hotel with extra added'

It is perfect for relaxing and the location is 'out of the city' which is great.

Can swim in river subject to flooding or danger however it's 'again' a perfect place to unwind.

Would go back again

Really enjoyed our stay here over the AFL long weekend with a group on the unpowered camp-site area. Good amenities and the camp kitchen was really useful. Will likely come back again.

Just had a great 8 day stay at this park and at about ½ the cost of some parks in Bright We explored the area and the park owners are very willing to give advice.
The amenities are kept clean and the young children made a lot of use of the play ground equipment.
Dogs on leads are welcome.

Riverside camping in a very green environment. Good sized sites and plenty of cabins. The park now has a pool, two small trampolines and a new playground.

Absolutely love this park. The River access is the best in Punkah! The owners have really done an amazing job creating a warm and welcoming environment for any type of guest! Amenities are fantastic whether camping or staying in a cabin. Prices are great and the pool and park are fabulous extras.

I very rarely leave 5-star reviews, but I would honestly give Riverview Caravan Park even more stars if I could. I had just finished a 4-hour drive to Bright from Melbourne and was ready to get some sleep before a Spartan Race I was participating in the next morning, only to find out that the accommodation I arranged through Booking.com wasn't in the system. Apparently, Riverview wasn't even meant to be listed on Booking.com as they had been consistently double-booking guests. Naturally, I began to panic a bit, as I was sure that if I could even find alternative accommodation, it wouldn't come cheap on such short notice and with the town full of Spartan punters. What can I say? Glen and Andrea, the owners of Riverview, were just absolutely wonderful. Understanding, helpful, and friendly, they explained the situation with Booking.com and not only arranged a different cabin, but assured me that they would liaise with Booking.com on my behalf and get me my money back. The room itself was clean, tidy, and had every amenity I needed, including a wonderful view of the river. Couldn't recommend Riverview more if you're planning a trip to Bright. They have a customer for life in me now.

Awesome campsite. A bit crowded in the high season, but the facilities and the river makes it absolutely unforgettable. Very close to the Mount Buffalo National park, so if you are keen on exploring nature this place will not disappoint.
