Rice Workshop reviews
34 Great japanese in a great place
the food here is pretty good for the price you pay.it's cheap, and the portions are good too.the ramen or the curry or the beef bowls are the greatest.you won't be ripped off.i'd like to come here more often in future, since it's better than some other ones i've been too.
Worst bento box i had in my life. The unagi was so fishy and the sauce is too salty. Even eating it with the rice, it feels like im eating salt.
It used to give them 5star, but with so many new and more delicious competitors, their food and menu have become 3star at best.
Great food, generous portion, and fantastic price. Definitely recommend the karaage. It was crispy and delicious!
LOVE this little restaurant.
I stumbled upon this restaurant in 2016 because I love matcha and wanted to try the ice cream. It did NOT disappoint. Seriously one of my favourite ice creams.
The rice bowls here are also excellent, this time I enjoyed the Katsu curry with tempura prawn and an egg. There was nothing to fault as usual.
This place is well priced, the staff are helpful, and it’s in a great location.
Always love coming here when I’m in Melbourne.
I stumbled upon this shop by accident but the food was great and it was cheap too! Now I always come back here for a quick feed with friends
Quick and easy meal for a great price. Paid $9.50 for a very large bowl of teriyaki chicken with egg in rice. Chicken was great and flavour was really good. A really good option for those looking for a filling and satisfying meal, the price is a bonus. Would definitely come back to try their other dishes. Just make sure to ask what is available if you are coming at closing time, as tonkatsu and salmon were not available 30 minutes prior.
Super fast service, very tight spacing and it’s always a bonus if you get a seat! Food is made fresh and is tasty. I always get the edamame but always try something different when I visit.
I had the katsu curry here. The curry was a nice and rich consistency however the rice to curry ratio was too large leaving me with plain, boring curryless rice by the end. I like that that have a little self serve table where you're able to add more pickled veggies. Overall an average experience
Great Japanese food and cheap prices. The portions are generous and flavour of dishes are all superb. Couldn't fault this place
Fantastic food at a great price. Regular sized dishes are enough to fill you up and start at just over $8. Not only was it cheap, but the food came out extremely fast. Additionally, there were vegetarian options.
Note: $10 minimum for credit cards.
Wow this place is great. Really really fast meals. We had a very similar experience to that scene from the movie The Founder where the food was ready so fast we told them "oh no we just ordered" but sure enough it was our food.
Right in the middle of Chinatown you can find this little gem. The restaurant offers modern Japanese cuisine in a bright and spacious environment.
I ordered the Fresh Salmon and Kimchi Beef. Only had to wait a few minutes even tho it was very busy.
Both servings were quite big but the Kimchi Beef has to be my favorite one. The meet was sliced extremely thin and so tender. Together with the Kimchi on top it was just perfect.
I also tried the Matcha Ice Cream which was really good as well. The serving tho was so big that I could hardly finish it before it started melting.
All in all a good modern Japanese restaurant with very reasonable prices.
Tried the Chicket Katsu rice bowl and it was fantastic. Well balanced components, made quickly to order and priced well.
Very tasty.
Delicious Japanese goodness for $10 under. Eat in or take away. Fast efficient service. Always fresh.
Really delicious speedy meals. We stumbled upon this place and found it very satisfying. Try adding the egg to your curry rice to up the pleasure. Also dont miss out the "crab ball" filled w pure crab meat. Pure pleasure. Their yuzu juice complements the meal really well.
Got the bento box and been spewing my guts out since Wednesday. Got food poisoning from this place. I know there's alot of good reviews but maybe please check the expiry date of everything. Was here on a short trip holiday for my birthday but didn't have the best time after experiencing that event.
I am a vegetarian so it’s hard to appreciate international cuisines sometimes due to lack of options but I was pleasantly surprised here. They didn’t have many options but the ones they did were good. I actually finished my plate and completely enjoyed it. The flavours were good and the dishes were fresh.
The only drawback is the seating in this place. However, they don’t claim to be a restaurant but a food court of sorts so I will give them that.
Their chicken karaage was really delicious and crispy with plenty of rice Even though I ordered large size, I felt like they gave me too much compared to the price of $10 I’ll visit here often from now on 꼭 가보세요~ 양 짱 많아요~
Prepared the wrong order and refused to fix their mistake and wouldn't let me reorder so I couldn't have a meal. Also all there meals are under $10, but they enforce a $10 minimum on card forcing people to buy extra they don't need or leave. Terrible practise terrible place.
