This is a very old and established Italian restaurant. The menu is great, the service is great and the food is excellent. We had three different pastas. Veal Ragu, gnocchi Napoli, and lasagne all were on point. Serving sizes were generous and they provide complimentary bread. The caprese salad was really fresh & delicious. Highly recommend & will return

This restaurant is an institution and serves excellent Italian food with out the high prices and flashiness of its neighbour the other newer Italian restaurant in the street

If you want an all round excellent restaurant with amazing consistently great Italian food you really can’t go past this restaurant- I must say you will need to book particularly on weekends but it’s worth the effort

Interior is nice, service is ok, it’s very loud. We had 5 different meals and all of them were average. It’s shocking how bland the pasta meals were not to mention it was overpriced. Very disappointing as we went there for a special occasion. I don’t understand how this place has such good reviews. A fair rating is 3 stars at most.

The woman who was the only person working in the restaurant hall was very pushy, arrogant and rude. She ruined our lunch. I felt discriminated. If you are not an Italian heritage, NEVER go there. Food taste below average, Service from this woman is horrible, yet they want some tips at the end. There are plenty of Italian restaurants in Melbourne where they serve much better food and provide exceptional service.

Went there with some friends. Had a meal at the room at the back. Parking was easy enough with spots right outside.

The service was excellent. The food was well presented and tasted amazing. Good selection of wines etc too.

Enjoyed it and I’m sure I’ll be back again!

I went to Ricardo's today with my friend as it came highly recommended on Tik tok. The food was fantastic, we both had lasagna and it was great. However it was the worst customer service of my life. The waiter, I think she is Italian was very stand offish. She did not smile at all and just seemed not to care. I wondered if it was a race issue as I am black and my friend was Asian and she seemed to be nice to the other customers. Based on my experience I won't be going back to this place!

We had dinner last Sunday night,
We went had pre dinner drinks and a antipasto plate and no one hurried us to order main meal. We relaxed an then we ordered our main, large serving and so much choice.l had a butterflied pork chop stuffed with a cheese and crumbled and it was served with vegetables and it was amazing, all at table said the thing about their meals!
We drove 80mins to get there and we are going back!

How lucky is Albert Park people?

Visited here after a few years break and left disappointed. Sourdough bread was excellent. The Spaghetti Marinara was as I remembered it, but my partners Linguine Gamberoni (Entre size) was average. The Caprese salad was average, tomatoes were tasteless. We had checked the menu on the website before we booked and the menu prices at the restaurant were up to 20% higher than the website.

Lovely little restaurant with friendly and helpful staff. Food was top notch and great pairing with the wines.

I don’t know what has happened to this place, but we had dinner and the pasta marinara had no flavour and sat in a water broth, not even olive oil, garlic or chilli. My partners meal was also bland. We last ate at Ricardo’s about 2 years ago and really enjoyed our meals, but I now don’t think we will be back. For a meal with drinks and entrees we paid $180 for 2 people, it was a shame it was a let down.

It’s pretty hard to past this iconic Trattoria. The staff are wonderful, the atmosphere upbeat and if you’ve got the time, the perfect place for a long-ish lunch with clients, colleagues or friends. It’s the choice of many a discerning diner for good reason.

Food was outstanding. Best Creme Brulee I have ever had. All waiters were lovely. I'll be back for sure!

Staff here are next level! Had my fathers 60th birthday dinner here and they went above and beyond to make his night special. Food was great and night was thoroughly enjoyed. Couldn’t recommend enough
