Restore Cafe Bar by uzu reviews
19I had their braised pork bento box, it was really delicious.the atmosphere of the place is also quite laid back and pleasant, with all the staff very helpful and friendly. For students, they have many meals that are price friendly, so definitely check it out:)
I heard of this place and I knew i wanted to come here to see what they have to offer. Delicious Benton boxes. Another final fantasy game franchise restaurant spotted!
If you want to spend 30mins of your precious lunch break waiting for a beef udon to be cooked then go. Apparently the staff was busy chatting and forgot about my order. Ridiculous!
Boneless maryland rice. Very yummy. Good value too got lots of condiments in it!
devoured the whole meal in like 5 mins. Delicious!
Also have had the katsu curry it’s sooooo good love going to this place
I ordered a pickup order, it says it’s gonna be ready at 12: 41. I arrive at 13: 05, I was trying to talk to them. They just called me to find somewhere else to wait and do not stand in front of the counter.
Boneless maryland rice. Very yummy. Good value too got lots of condiments in it!
edit: devoured the whole meal in like 5 mins. Delicious!
The place atmosphere is calm and relaxing, staff were friendly and cutlery have seen some history. Had the Katsudon. A bit sweeter then normal but still very nice. Will comeback again one day
The food is ok, nothing too special and the chai latte they serve is a bit watery. But the staffs and owner there are very friendly plus they have a reward program for coffee drinkers. They are a nice little store that you may want to stay at to do your work while enjoying your lunch.
The owner is a Taiwanese couple and they have been running this place for many years. Now they are turning it into a Taiwanese restaurant called "18 Railway Bento" super authentic and tasty Taiwanese food, highly recommended!
I didn’t know there’s Taiwanese meal hidden at a local cafe bar before my friend recommended! As a Taiwanese, I can say this popcorn chicken bento is definitely authentic flavour! It made me miss the Railway Bento in Taiwan so much! I ordered takeaways for a few times! The quantity is too big for me to finish as lunch, I usually keep another half for dinner! The price is economical!
Pretty rude to me actually and Im a very loyal customer quite dissapointed and felt discriminated
Excellent coffee, excellent service, beautiful furniture and a wonderful courtyard. So pleasing to know this place is a short walk from our new home.
Food is delicious, and coffee is simply perfect.
The place is very cosy during Monash University students holidays.)
Food is relatively cheap but you pay for what you get. The coffees are rather decent. Staff have been friendly.
Usually I come in for a coffee and avo toast. Takes 25 minutes for Me To receive my coffee and toast. They have gotten my Coffee order wrong on two occasions. Take in mind its never busy either so no excuse.
Basic Hygiene a worry here-
Hands all over the insides of take away coffee cups. You pick cups up from the bottom not the top.
Tossed the coffee as it was weak and awful.
When coffee shops concentrate on taking orders as customers come in-
However nobody actually making coffee - If coffee is going to be 10 mins or more tell me esp in the am. Give me a wait time.
Lovely food and really friendly happy staff, but lunch service is slow during Monash uni term time.
Yummy all day big breakfasts $18.50, avo and fetta smash $10 home made sandwiches, wraps, foccaccias, they cook most aussie faves, PLUS Uzu authentic japanese sushi master, makes delicious fresh very reasonably priced sushumi and tons of japanese meals on his menu.
Restore and UZU under the work roof works brilliantly and appeals to whatever Aussie or Japanese taste you want to eat. Highly recommend to all.
I went for a meal with my partner at midday on a monday.
The coffee was nothing special and the sugar at the table was so old that everyone of them were stone solid and unable to be opened.
The cutlery is wrapped nicely in a napkin as expected but then tapped up so you cant even use it after eating.
The eggs were soggy and gross and what can easily be a beautiful delicious meal was a below standard experince.
If you want standard i would save the money and cook it yourself at home.
Never again. I've eaten breakfast here before. The service was lousy and the breakfast very average (could make better at home). Dropped in for some sushi today before catching a tram and was ignored for a little bit, and the sushi tasted old/refrigerated and not good rice. Cafe Uzu when it was open was far higher quality.
