18Good service, good stocks compared to some retailers I visit, average prices slightly improve at sale times.
Had what I needed in stock and cheaper than other parts stores.
Also got some great advice.
A family member and I came in looking for a product for our car and the guy working there saw the money in my relatives hand and quickly ran to get the most expensive item he could find. We said have you got anything a little cheaper in our budget and he’s like no this is it you need to buy this, we then proceeded to look on the shelves and found a cheaper version of what we were looking for and the guy at the front became so rude and defensive and said why aren’t you buying this one!
We left and went somewhere else. You shouldn’t try force people to buy over expensive items if we don’t want it. Do not recommend this place at all.
Terrible customer service by the senior staff and manager, real time wasters. They wouldn't replace a faulty battery which was still under warranty.
Instead of testing and replacing the battery on the spot, they said I needed to purchase a new battery while the warranty process takes place which they said would be over 2 weeks to complete.
After buying the new battery, I called two other stores were both said it should be done on the spot. So, had to drive back to Footscray to get a refund.massive waste of time!
I ended up driving to the Bentleigh East Repco where they found my old receipt, tested and replaced the battery in under 15mins!
Great team here - good service, know what they are doing and do not over charge. Handy for the train station as well.

Today was the acid test I rang several suppliers within my location seeking 2 large batteries and spoke to frank over the phone, after explaining to frank time was most important he was willing to source an additional battery from a nearby store completing the set required for an urgent job.
By the time I got to the Footscray store Frank had arranged the picking order of the 2 x 810CCA batteries.
Frank I sincerely appreciate the strong customer service and the effort you provided today, I could hear the phones ringing in the background and understand you were extremely busy but I was so happy that you made the effort.
Placed an order for same day delivery of a battery. Called to double check and was confirmed. Only be told just now by TOLL that it was never chosen for same day delivery. I spoke to the person twice who confirmed. I can't drive to get it as battery is dead. I cannot go anywhere now and would have ordered somewhere else as I need my car today. Really really disappointed.
Always willing to help. Having an old car, the other half was at Repco Footscray constantly. Miss having this joint around the corner!
Very poor customer service. Unwilling to help search for a product. Had to search online myself to show them they had one in stock to be told they had nothing. Very poor service.
Great Customer service, purchased a Alternator from a different Repco store which ended up being Faulty. Yes it is Repco policy to Refund, but these guys made the process really easy.
Just walked in now one guy on computer snacking on chips another walks in from fast food truck straight to out the back and no asking me if I need help. Sorry but maybe should have waited longer than 5 min
The dude behind the counter knew exactly what VW 504/507 spec oil was, and when it looked like they only had one type on the shelf for near a hunge-bucks, he goes out back and finds the one remaining Castrol bottle on special for a good bit less that he had been saving for a particular type of frantic moron who suddenly realised the low oil warning on the dash was actually a message for the driver, and not a stock market report.
Provide wrong parts when it is on special. When ask for a exchange, they take back at special rate & charge you the full price for the replacement. Horrible business
Was in the area so stopped in to get some prices on oil, air, fuel filter for a classic restore I am doing. The sales guy was rude, I asked to see the filters and he got upset that he had to go and get them for me. Once I decided not to give them my business and said no thanks, he again made a rude comment as if we were just a waste of his time. On the way out he was yelling something rude again.
VERY POOR SERVICE!

Went in for brake lights, was given lights for a completely different make and model.
Incorrectly labelled pricing and the man just says 'oh, we must have forgot to change that one'
