Love coming here! Has a great vibe & great food. Louis knows how to make the best cocktails in town. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to have a boujee night out.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking my wife to Renard for our 10th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. The service was quick and friendly, the food came to our table within 5 minutes and the atmosphere made the occasion so much more special. A quick shoutout to Teddy the bartender who had an incredible knowledge of all the drinks he made us, we will definitely be back!

Me and my partner had the chef's selection menu. Food was delicious and plenty. Only let down was getting chips and meatballs as a "main" after tasting the far greater options that were sent before and seeing lamb and pork dishes on the menu. Drinks were very good and came fast. Service was great! Friendly and attentive. We would definitely come back but order a la carte instead the tasting menu.

We had the prickly pornstache cocktail and strawberry no-jito mocktail, absolutely delicious! On par with some of the best bars in Melbourne CBD. Highly recommend.

I popped in to Renard when I had an hour to kill after catching the train from Melbourne (just around the corner) and it was a perfect place to perch at a high top with a glass (well, two.) of gorgeous Pyrenees Fume Blanc and some nibbles. OMG, the prawn slider is what dreams are made of. Will definitely be coming back for a proper meal next time I'm in town!

What a sensational place! The attention to detail is spot on. We tried 5 foods on the menu. All were well presented and tested incredible. The combination of flavours is certainly not an afterthought. The cocktails were delightful. And while the atmosphere was relaxed, the service was of very high quality. We decided to go back tomorrow to try more things on the menu. This place belongs on the “Must visit list” in Ballarat.

We enjoyed our table in the hustle and bustle of Renard. A list with good cocktails and good wines. Delicious sharing dishes. Friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient staff. Will return!

This bar is a great choice for friends catching up or a date night. Seats available at the bar, small tables and also booths! Huge drink selection and also plenty of bar-food options, including some for vegetarians/vegans. The food, drinks and service are exceptional.

We stopped in at Renard for a quick drink while on a walk through Ballarat one Saturday evening.
The staff managed to find us a seat quite quickly which we really appreciated since it was freezing outside.
We weren’t sure what to order so our fantastic server, Alex, helped us navigate the menu and we were very happy with his suggestions.
Our drinks were quick, the staff were chill and the mood was a constant vibe.
Renard is a fantastic spot and I’d highly recommend a visit if you’re looking for a drink and snack while in Ballarat.

What a gorgeous venue for an intimate date night. Impeccable service, amazing flavours, gentle lighting. And those cocktails - unforgettable! Will be returning as soon as we can!

Wowwee! I’m not a big reviewer, but the service was so fantastic I had to share! Every single cocktail on the menu was so fabulously yummy! But the biggest part was the service! We had the most fabulous waitress, she helped us choose depending on our own flavour preferences, and she was so friendly she felt like one of us! Wish she could have sat down and had a drink with us!

A hidden surprise package. The service was excellent. And the very clever chef provided one amazing dish after another. The best mackerel I have ever eaten, beautiful braised lamb, tasty chorizo, oysters, spinach and ricotta dumplings, and the clever deconstruction cheesecake. Every bite fantastic. Highly recommended!
