I would say it was a classic case of being at a career crossroads. Having worked with the same organisation for close to 13 years, I wanted to look at new options, renew my career growth and the learning that comes with it. Initially, I reached out to Relaunch Me with a specific request – to assist me with an interview (it was short notice given I had an interview lined up in 4 days). The response was prompt, and I was glad they were able to slot me into a session on such short notice. From the get-go, Lyndsay was just awesome. The way in which she worked through the position description, matching it to my CV/career and skill sets and then developed succinct, structured responses to behavioural questions really helped refine my overall approach to an interview and further boosted my confidence. While the outcome of the interview was not the one, I hoped for, I came away more confident and really happy in the way I had pitched myself as a suitable candidate. I then decided to seek their career coaching services as I was keen to reassess my career pathways especially when I had an opportunity to do so. Lyndsay’s attention to detail, style, and method of working (while helping me prepare for that interview earlier) made it easy for me to go back and seek her assistance with career coaching. The coaching was thorough, precise, and consultative. Lyndsay focused on my inputs, context/reasoning, skill-sets, role preferences and was genuinely interested in understanding my goals, my career aspirations and importantly my personality traits. She was excellent when analysing and articulating my responses to the career coaching questionnaire as it really helped me further understand my preferences on the type of roles, I was keen on pursuing. I also requested a complete re-draft of my resume and was put in contact with Victoria who once again was attentive, and really helped transform my resume. In a nutshell, from not making much progress in the job market to being in a position of having to choose from 3 simultaneous offers explains the quality, professionalism and change that Lyndsay, Leah, and Victoria provided through their services. I genuinely felt I was working with close friends who were sincerely interested in my career and wanted me to succeed not just in interviews but in my career overall. Leah even helped me shortlist a few flight schools towards realising my ambition of becoming a pilot one day. This was something I discussed with Leah and Lyndsay during my career coaching and here they were not just assisting with ‘paid services’ like interview prep or resume writing but going out of their way to help a client realise an ambition and boosting my confidence that it is very much possible to pursue my ambition whilst currently pursuing a career in Finance. This is just one example where they went over and beyond their normal service levels and showed they care for you, your aspirations and help you see realistic pathways to achieve those aspirations. I got in touch with Relaunch me having spent 4 years out of the workforce raising my children and was in need of a complete career change. I met with Clare 2 weeks before Melbourne lockdown during what was a pretty uncertain time. I really had no idea what I wanted to do.
