Red Hill Estate reviews
71Great tasting at the cellar door today accompanied by a charcuterie board from Max's restaurant. Sally was a perfect hostess and we recommend the Shiraz and Sauv Blanc.
One of the best tastings we've had in a while. Largely down to the friendly service and flexibility of the host Ray. The wine's were good and plenty to choose from in their $5 tasting. On a nicer day, imagine it'd be lovely to sit outside and soak up the views.
Thoroughly enjoyed our tasting at Red Hill Estate. Ray was very engaging, funny and tailored the wines to our particular tastes.
The view here is very unique to the area and we’ll definitely be back!
The thing we love about the Mornington Peninsula is the close proximity to the beach and the wineries. Our favourite winery is Red Hill Estate the staff are always friendly and the wine variety is awesome. On our last visit we got to enjoy Matched Food & Wine Experience, this is a “must do" enjoying the amazing food from Max’s restaurant paired with a selection of Red Hill wines. Our best pick’s are the Single Vineyard Chardonnay and Single Vineyard Pinot Noir.
Highly recommended, can’t wait to get back there

Was here with some friends a few days ago, as soon as we walked in the door, we were met with attitude from an older man (I think his name was Bill or Bob) extremely rude especially about whether or not we had a booking, which we did book way ahead of time. Even started scoffing to some customers he had just finished serving. It wasn’t until he was told off by one of his coworkers in regards to our book that he started his service with a smile. The wines were great but could do without the attitude.
A must visit winery for you are down in Victoria. Good vibes and lovely views where you can take decent photographs. Alongside our wine tasting we ordered olives, freshly baked focaccia and non alcoholic beverages too.
Highly recommend a visit. Really reasonable wine tasting in such a beautiful setting. Wonderful views and delicious wine. Very relaxed and kid friendly. Lots of place to run around. There's also a little pond.
Redhill Estate is our favourite winery on the Peninsula.
Our experienced began with a warm greeting by Nick at the Cellar Door.
Although we visited on the Labour Day Weekend - hectic time for the staff - at no time did we feel rushed or forgotten. The complete opposite was true with personalised service from both Ray and Bob. Food from the restaurant was serviced at our table in the Tasting Room. DELICIOUS!
The guys made suggestions of wines to complement our food selection.
Wine of the visit was definitely the Merrick's Grove Pinot Noir. Amazing value for such a sophisticated and delicious wine.
As a Club Member I received a discount on my wine purchases. Brilliant!
My wife and I look forward to our next visit to this winery.
As I previous shared, the warm greeting brought a smile to our faces that lasted well beyond our arrival home.
Thank you
On a recent wine tour, this was our favourite Mornington Peninsula winery of the day, so much that we joined the wine club. Bob took us through a fabulous tasting and made it such fun. Highly recommend.
Great experience at Red Hill Estate. Mayumi hosted our party of 12 for a wine tasting and she was just lovely. Very nice wines, and some good specials, we all went away with something!
One of our favourite wineries to visit in Red Hill is Red Hill Estate. The view of the ocean are stunning, which matches the wonderful service and tasting expereinces in the cellar door.
Nick is an awesome host making you feel conformable as you enjoy the flavours of the local wines.
Our go to is the cellar door Red Hill Pinot Noir - always guaranteed to put a smile on your face with it's smooth taste.
Do yourself a favour, if you're in the area and you love a good red, take some time and visit Red Hill Estate, you won't be disappointed.
After enjoying a fabulous lunch in the restaurant we popped into the cellar door to check out some different wines. Nick hosted our wine tasting and to be honest I cannot remember what wines we tasted (it was a month ago and we have just come back from the Barossa Valley).
However I do know that the wines we sampled were so good that we signed up to the wine club, as well as buying some bottles to bring home immediately. We don't normally drink too many white wines but bought and ordered some Pino Gris and Pino Grigio.
Nick was a great host who made the tasting relaxing and really enjoyable.
We had an enjoyable experience with our visit to Red Hill in early February. Staff were very accommodating and their knowledge of the tasting range was impressive. Its a definite place to stop, sip and savour!
Have now been here a couple of times and not been disappointed. The product is excellent but the experience is escalated by the personal and knowledgeable staff. Would have no hesitation in recommending RHE as a destination venue
Always a great time. Nick makes it particularly special and is attentive. Came back after a year and he recognised my face immediately.
Delish wines and great vibe. Ray and the delicious bread were total highlight of the winery tour day we went on and a perfect way to end the day. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
We had a lovely experience at the cellar door with Scottish Bob! Thanks for making our time so enjoyable with your positive energy and wine knowledge! The view from here is also stunning!
We had a great experience. Wines were lovely and Mayumi explained and recommended great wines with a great and cheerful attitude. We will come definitely come again.
Thank you Bob for helping us with the wine tastings! Your knowledge and charisma made the experience all the more enjoyable!
We visited Red Hill Estate on the weekend and I must say the experience for me and my friends was disappointing to say the least.
We opted for wine tasting and found the service to be poor (had to ask for glasses to be changed (even going from white to red wine), also had to request water.all very simple and standard requirements from previous visits to wineries.
The restaurant staff were quite abrupt and unable to provide anything to go with the wine tasting (no cheese, or bread as the 'kitchen was closed').
If you are visiting the Mornington Peninsula and touring wineries, the product is very good, however the service does not rise to the mark.
