Red Cloud Bamboo

I could not recommend Red Cloud Bamboo more highly. Peter and his team have been wonderful as I’ve worked through what to plant - providing great advice over a number of months on the varieties, soil, planting and ongoing care and maintenance.

They have the best quality bamboo and their passion and knowledge is evident in every conversation. It’s been a great experience dealing with them. They genuinely care about their products and customers, going above and beyond. 11/10 experience!

Thanks Peter for sending out Colin and Dale to assess my Gold Stripe bamboo supplied and planted by a different company. My $4000 investment of 26 tall bamboo plants appeared to be dying. 5 months of calling and messaging the supplier and requesting a visit was met with blaming me for not watering enough and just ‘wait and see’. Red Cloud Bamboo educated me on site about the plants, showed me some growth that is happening, and felt that the trees might be salvageable. They diagnosed transplant shock rather than lack of watering. They did this free of charge. Thank you so very much. I will definitely call on you again and highly recommend your service and care to others. 10/10.

I am really pleased a good friend of mine recommended Red Cloud Bamboo. My experience with Peter has been nothing but exceptional. My kids and I planted Gracilis bamboo at home and Red Cloud Bamboo made the process a joy. We got advice on the soil to use, when to plant, when to water. 12 month on and Peter came out to see our bamboo and advise on when and how to fertilise. I've bought bamboo from Red Cloud Bamboo for two houses and both times the bamboo ended up looking magnicent and really changed the feel of the entire backyard. With minimal care in three years you will have a 5 or 6 metre wall of green to screen out neighbouring houses. Their bamboo seems very suited to Melbournes climate and they told me this is because they have been selectively growing the bamboo in Melbourne for years. I have grown gracilis which is really good for screening and Ghost bamboo which makes a great feature plant.

We wouldn't go anywhere else for our bamboo. Peter is highly knowledgeable and supplies very good quality bamboo at competitive price.
