Readings St Kilda reviews
31Very complete book store, with titles that I haven't seen in other places, specially the selection of vegetarian/vegan cookbooks. I went to the launch of the book Milkwood (skills for growing your own food), very interesting.
Readings St. Kilda is great for 'what's being read now' in store, yet with connections to the other Melbourne shops the friendly staff are more than happy to acquire what you may be looking for.
Always an excellent place to browse. The range of books is exceptional. The only thing that reduces this review from 5 stars to 4 is that the staff aren't always the most welcoming.
This place is just amazing. There’s a variety of books here you won’t find anywhere else. And unlike a lot of these niche bookstores, the books (and records and CDs) are actually reasonably priced. They have a bargain table which, true to its name, offers a variety of books on different subjects for cheap. A must visit if you’re a bibliophile in Melbourne.
Interesting place to browse but a lot of space is taken up by oversized coffee table books. I would give it three stars except that the staff completely ignored me as I said hello and made my purchase, to the point where they did not even bother to stop talking with each other long enough to give me my receipt. Would not recommend. There are lots of other booksellers in the area.
Wonderful bookshop to be treasured, which also has unique cards and gifts. Easy to get lost in.
Great book store with a wide variety of books, as well as some of the more niche ones that you won't find anywhere else. Also have a nice selection of vinyl
Nice bookstore on Acland st. Not as welcoming or well stocked as the Carlton store but it's worth your time if you're shopping on Acland st. There seems to be more of an emphasis on children's books and toys in this store too.
My local bookshop. Very well stocked given the limited size. Huge collection of vinyl records. Great bargain book table. Latest releases, rarer books, local releases. They also have signings by authors on a regular basis. Just what a good book shop should be. Love it. I drop it on a regular basis when I am on Acland Street.
A tranquil bookshop, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. I often spend an hour browsing the latest bestsellers and never feel I have overstayed my welcome.
