Just had a chance to see their new shop. Amazing, this place wants me to sit down and read!

A good and well stocked book store. Up to date and well staffed with friendly staff members who are very helpful and kind

The store in hawthorn really need to provide more customer service training to the staff.
Asked the retail assistant to help me to find a book for a 10 year old that doesn’t really enjoy reading all that much. This lady continued to ask questions about whether she’s had too much screen time,
If I ever read to her when she was younger and making comments to make me feel like a terrible mother. She wasn’t really all that interested in pointing out possible books, just to point out that if it would be difficult to find something for a child that doesn’t like reading.
I think I’ll avoid this shop from now on, as I left feeling incredibly uncomfortable and awful when I left.

Love browsing here, great selection of books and the store itself is beautiful. The books are expensive though.

Great little bookshop. Has a huge range and is really well set out. Books and genres are nicely presented and easy to find. Staff are helpful and friendly. I was surprised at how reasonable the prices of the books were, o wasn't paying anymore than I would for them online. I would highly recommend this place.

If you like a selection of socialist literature then this place is for you. Limited choice for those who are tired of the echo chamber and yearn for new ideas. More choice online.

This is a bookshop where you can wander for hours and no staff member will ever approach you to ask whether you need any help. Must be in the job description!

Staff were incredibly helpful and quick to assist me in finding a few books. Cozy and welcoming place to browse their wide range.

Reading Hawthorn is a great bookshop! Huge store with plenty of books on offer and well laid out. Big kids sections and the the staff are friendly and helpful too. Easy access from two entries and close to a large carpark as well as street parking. Recommend

Great that they're open again, was hoping for a wider selection of diaries and calenders, but, hey great none-the-less

You can't beat Readings.excellent customer service, knowledgeable staff who know just how to help and just where to look for that elusive title. Why would you not support a local business that's this good?

Buy / order your books here! Amazing book shop. Rather than buying from Amazon I buy local online from Readings and the book comes just as fast. Just ordered one for my daughters birthday and despite all the post issues it arrived in 2 days! Love this store

My first visit here today. Wonderful does not even begin to describe it. Friendly staff, incredibly well set out, CD DVD section. I will become a regular here for sure. Thank you

One of the very best bookshops in Melbourne and excellent even by world standards. Thank god for places that still value reading and books.

Love visiting this place as one of the few remaining bookstores around. Wide selection of books from around the world and a huge range of childrens and kids books at the back. Also good to grab a coffee from the cafe at the rear.

SO many book options. I thought I wouldn't be there for that long but I spent ages choosing books to buy and staff are experienced and helpful

Readings in Hawthorn has excellent staff who are extremely helpful. Great selection of books and cd's. As glenferrie road gets quite busy there are car parking options behind coles an easy 2 minute walking distance to Readings.

This is a great place to browse especially if you are a booklover. It has a diverse range of products other than books as well.calendars, diaries, cards.for example.
The categories of the books are very useful as they save you time, & there is quick access to the best sellers and recent arrivals which are kept up to date. The variety of reasonably priced, if not cheap books on a table just inside the entrance is difficult to pass by
without buying at least one item.
Staff members are very knowledgable, willing to order books for you, & will recommend others well worth reading. This is one of my favourite places to.visit.
