I met the emperor of the emporium. He was quite nice, I wasn't sure if it was a facade so we didn't make it to second base.

Fall in love with the bookstore and made me revisit Melbourne. I am jelly how people in Melbourne can have this beautiful place!

I love the Readings bookstores in Melbourne and having read that they've opened a new store in the CBD a few years ago, it was one of the first places I visited when I came down recently. It's a beautiful store with an amazingly extensive selection of books. Being an avid reader and traveller, when I came across the travel section I was in travel book heaven and the dedicated books on Melbourne display was genius. If you need some respite from all the shopping and the busyness of the city then this bookstore is an ideal sanctuary to slow down and grab your favourite book/s!

It's expensive but such a nice place to browse. Bought some lovely books from some excellent staff.

I love Readings in the UK so this was a pleasant find! This is a must-visit for any book lover. Readings always has a great vibe. There is a large range of books and the way they display their books makes you want to pick one up and read it. Many books have a nice little blurb telling you why you should read it. There's also a good range of other products, like home-ware, bookmarks, cards, etc.

Gorgeous aesthetic and plenty of fantastic books, as an art lover - I found an abundance of amazing literature.

I didn't realise bookshops like this still existed. Excellent range, big, open floorplan. Also online, which is convenient.

Sophisticated, quiet and filled with variety this bookstore is a must visit. The non-fiction, art and coffee table book collection here is wonderful.

Be nice if you could actually find the shop. Obviously they moved. Update your current address very fustrating

I was pleasantly surprised to find a great book store like this one. I may not a huge manga fan, but I was impressed that they had a manga section.

Great to still see a bricks and mortar bookshop these days. Great selection of books. Staff seemed friendly.

Nice quiet place to take a break from all the shopping to browse the lastest popular books.

This is a very pleasant place to buy a book, (I bought a Seamus Heaney book of poems) the staff were very polite, and they were very helpful to my friend who needed a hand finding the book they wanted, I would very much recommend it to anyway passionate about reading or anyone who just so happens to be strolling by

Had the most beautiful service from Lucy and Alex today. They went above and beyond to help me out and are genuinely the kindest people I’ve ever met! My partner and I will always remember you both for getting our favourite chef to sign our cookbook!

Good to find a book's store, they had what I was looking for, staff very helpful, many different genre available and you would expect to have top book's at this time.

A beautiful lady, named Tracy helped me pay at the counter, I told her I've been going through a massive book slump for a while, and she was kind enough to recommend some books to me, she was also more than happy, to have a little small talk with me, while giving me some advice to overcome my struggle with books!

Perfect ambience with lots of newly published book. Very up to date with its store layout and book categories. Definitely coming back from time to time.

I was happy to see a Readings open in the CBD. A great selection of books and other trinkets with friendly staff and a small seating area.
