Reading Cinemas reviews
40Went to see The Batman in Titan Luxe and honestly the visual experience was about 3/10. There was a big mark on the project wall in the middle of the screen and the projector quality was subpar. I know this is a dark movie but it felt like watching it on. 720p projector in the mid 2000s. Blacks washed out to the point couldn’t see the different between Batman and the background. I’d take my money elsewhere next time. Chairs and the cinema itself were great. Sound was decent.
Took my son to see (spiderman no way home). Good movie.it was nice to to get out of the house for a few hrs.
First class cinemas. Courteous and friendly staff. The only issue is the shared car park, plenty of spaces if you don't mind a walk.
Not enough gap between rows in some cinemas, have to really turn my legs and squash those nuts to let people pass.
Good and clean it was very quiet at our 1pm session
Could do with a better range of snacks
Reclining seats will only take you so far
Loved it. Took my grandson there to see Spiderman. Not my usual cinema, but closer to him. Lovely, pleasant staff who are very friendly and helpful. Very clean
We love all 3 types of cinema experiences! The recliner chairs a roomy and the trays are great! The prices are affordable and of course, the popcorn is delicious!
Great local cinema complex just a bit of a hassle to park near.
Staff friendly and helpful.
I love this cinema. The ticket prices are low compared to many other cinemas.
The staff were friendly. They were efficient.
The place was clean.
Good Cinema. Solid. They need to play more of films made from the 90's or the 80's. I would kill to see Die hard or Goodfellas' in a theater like atmosphere. Need to reduce price, very expensive.
Very nice, clean, pleasant cinema, with the exception of last week when I bought a frozen drink and the new paper straw started to fall apart in mouth a few minutes after beginning to drink and continued to do so through the movie. Had to throw out half of drink at end of movie. Paper straws do not work in frozen drinks
Wow, we were the only ones in the cinema. I accompanied a gentleman with a disability and the young lady at the counter was patient, kind and friendly. Also a young gentleman on the door as leaving wished us well. Yes this should be the standard at all times unfortunately in reality it's not. So kudos to these two young staff Very impressed. Cinema was clean and very comfy. After so many months of lock down this was indeed a treat.
I was highly disappointed yesterday when my 14 year old son came home from this cinema and was unable to buy a drink or anything else because they would not accept cash. This is disgusting, considering you have to be 14 to have a bank card (my son only turned 14 a week ago) how are we supposed to send our child to the cinema without an adult.i have always supported reading but will be rethinking my choice as i will not be forced to give my child a bankcard. Covid precautions are one thing but for gods sake give it some perspective!
Why go to one of the big cinemas when you can have just as good experience and pay less for it? That's why we like Reading!
Tom was extremely helpful. I'd unknowingly purchased tickets for the day before and after a quick phone call he organised new tickets for us in the same seats. Truly wonderful service.
Chairs are always super comfortable and prices reasonable too. I'd recommend Reading Cinemas Chirnside Park to anyone.
This a great cinema, every one I know goes to this cinema all the time as it always shows the most poular movies. The staff are always friendly and welcoming when you come in and the cinemas themselves are very clean and spacious. There are 3 different cinemas you can choose from; Titan, Premium and Standard with the first two being ore expensive (but worth it). The standard cinema is still great though. There are toilets available and snacks and drinks aswel. Overall a great cinema!
Fantastic cinema! Didn't make it in time to the premium session, so had to sacrifice the comfort but oh well! Popcorn isn't as expensive as mainstream cinemas. Guy who served us was super bubbly and friendly, A+ customer service!
You have to try cinema 1.fantastic seating with heaps of room.sound system is great and a huge screen worth seeing big productions on. 10/10
My go-to local cinema- the best in the area for the price 10000%! Could be spending double the price for the same thing at hoyts/village. I would recommend spending the extra $5 for premium to get the recliner chairs and tables too!
We don’t know why Readings and other cinemas think it’s ok to have seats just a couple of metres from the screen - but it’s not. People only purchase if desperate.
We were assured they’d be ok - they were not
