Reading Cinemas reviews
62Save your money and dont vist this unhygienic cinema. The seats are sticky and the stench is so bad you can't even focus on the film. The popcorn is also terrible, it taste like it has been sitting there for a week. It also gave my family a stomach. I will be contacting head office as this is a safety hazard.
Cheap tickets and comfortable seats. Under the chairs and in the bathroom is pretty grot but you get what you pay for. FOUND AN OPPO PHONE left in the cinemas under our chairs, so hoping it’s charged up and returned to the correct owner.
Great value! Only $10 a ticket, including new releases. The price doesn't even go up when you book their premium theatre, which has nicer seats.
Good cinema, cheap tickets, friendly staff and no waiting in line for ages to get tickets. I'd recommend to others to go to reading cinemas in Dandenong.
Not same atmosphere as normal village cinemas. Going to movies needs to feel like an extravagant outing
Easy access and heaps of parking! Not very crowded when I went in. I had the entire row to myself but felt safe enough as there were more people in other rows.
It's just an okay place.
The tickets are very cheap, lots of screens, so lots of movie options.
Location is excellent inside dandenong mall.
Parking space and food options are good as well.
But it's poorly maintained, the whole place has a funny smell like there is no ventilation. Very dark.
I do suggest bringing a coat as it does get cold in there but I have to say that I enjoyed the movie I watched. The place isn't that bad it is smaller but the movie experience is what it's about. I love that it's so much cheaper than the big ones.
I watched Violent Night and loved it.
Hey always have some fun.
Excellent customer service / very friendly and helpful. Took the family out fir an affordable and gun outing,
Have gone to this cinema for my whole life and theres something about it, sure I comeback home smelling like piss and the reading cinemas intro gives me a siesure. But I still love it, cheap tickets and food + not many people. Not bad, 5 stars loll
Hi. I just saw a movie at the Dandenong cinema this Sunday 4th Dec. I really must say that I am not a fussy person generally but this had to be the worst cinema i have ever been in. The toilets were discusting. There was wee everywhere and it just stank. It had not veen cleaned in a very long time. Even the entrance and foyer was smelly. The entire place needs a deep steam clean. The carpet stinks and was sticky. Then the actual cinema (No 4) was smelly and had not been cleaned in a very long time. The seats stank and when i got home the snell from the seats was on my clothes. Non of it was a recent smell either, it was a stale just never been cleaned stench. I will never go there again. Horrible.
Bought a friend to watch movie and your lifts were broken and she was embarrassed as she has a Walker. The other man in wheelchair also had to leave. In this day and age this is unacceptable. Thank goodness for your staff who helped her but it's not their job. Fix the lift for people who can't use stairs. Poor effort on your part considering people want to watch a movie on Boxing Day.
Reading Cinema located in Dandenong is conveniently near bus stop.
Cinema’s movie session prices, snacks and drinks are cheap compared to Hoyts and
Village Cinemas.
Inside cinema is comfortable and cozy, for those who wish to bring their snack & drink inside cinema there’s Premium option but extra charge which is well priced as far as I know. Experience is great value for money.
The family had a good time! The theatre was clean and the staff was awesome! The boys enjoyed Minions: Rise of GRU. The adults got a good laugh also. The action made the movie go really fast.
It’s was so great watching Thor Love and Thunder last night. There was jammed packed full of people and everyone seems to enjoy the movie. We highly recommend everyone to watch it. ️
Usual I am not a crowd person and I would avoid crowded places. But I had to take someone here for work reason, I truly enjoyed the peaceful and quiet there were less than 10 People in the cinema theatre. Depending on your budget it can expensive put 50$ aside if you want a bite or drink. I'm definitely going back because it's less crowded.
On line it told me tickets for seniors $10 and child $10 I was charged $13.50 each that’s not good information or false advertising
The cinema needs to be regularly cleaned, but apart from that. My experience there & the level of service is second to none. The atmosphere of the cinema complex is fantastic
Very dirty cinema foyer, the popcorn was cold. Went to see Elvis on Sunday 3rd July it was like a fridge in the cinema and the lights stayed on through the whole movie.
Great movie but disappointing experience.
Not impressed.
Cheap tickets. Was $11 and now $12. Nit much snacks variety. Inside cinema hall was smelly. Need air circulation.
