Great gym, good range of facilities, and pretty spacious. The only down fall is it gets busy all the time. However, gym staff are super lovely and friendly.

Way too much crowded! Don’t know why they still signing up too many members even after knowing there’s almost 30-45 minutes waiting for every machine and bench!
The waiting almost kills your energy and vibe to have a good workout session!
There are only 2 bench press machines in total considering the total number of people at once are more than 50 in total.
Don’t come here! Time to leave!

Way too crowded. Most oversubscribed gym I've been to. Wait for equipment is rediculous and adds so much time to your workout.

I have been a member for some time at GoodLife South Melbourne and have noticed a decline in the hygiene standards in the female changing room.

The floor is consistently dirty and unpleasant to walk on. It appears to have accumulated a significant amount of grime, which is not only unsightly but also unhygienic. Additionally, the lack of tissues on the bench is inconvenient for members who rely on them for personal hygiene and cleanliness.

Furthermore, the condition of the toilets in the changing room is far from satisfactory. They often emit unpleasant odors, which can be quite discomforting. It's essential that such a crucial area of the club is maintained at a higher standard.

Lastly, the showers in the female changing room also require attention. They frequently appear dirty, and this is not in line with the clean and welcoming environment that I believe GoodLife aims to provide.

Change the cleaners please. They do a terrible job.

OK average mediocre gym. Decent community of people with classes. Unfortunately, the reign of terror of Centre Manager “Brent” has resulted in many leaving for elsewhere. I hope good life can improve its image by selecting an appropriate centre manager in future. I will not be back until Brent is gone, this guy provided horrendous service and destroyed the good life image for me and many others. I think it has become pretty evident by now based on the feedback from the community. Perhaps, additional training would benefit the overall gym and work environment for your poor staff having to deal with Brent.
Hopefully the real manager see this and make some serious changes.

Appalling customer service from I'm going to assume the manager of the club named Jatinder Chhabra!

I went to One Gym in port Melbourne and signed up there.worth the $$$ for the membership.

Been a member for over 10 years and being threatened by the manager Jatinder Chhabra at Goodlife!

I love this gym! Really nice people and great variety of equipment and very affordable price. I never thought I would join a gym again as I'm a lot older now than when I used to go many years ago to other gyms but this gym made me realise all different age groups are there and it benefits you at any age as you can do as little as you like or just go at a slower pace on the machines it's still much more beneficial than my old routine of just going for the odd walk or swim.

I’ve used Hannah as my PT for the last 10years. Hannah has seen me through initial fitness goals, post knee surgeries as well as during and post pregnancy. I was fortunate enough to start my PT journey with Hannah in person however after moving have become an online client & im still seeing the same results. She reviews nutrition and exercise combined. I’d highly recommend her to all abilities across all stages of fitness journeys.

Hannah (personal trainer) is amazing. She is an absolute gem to help get results, full of knowledge and a nutrion guru. I found her kind and understanding but also knew how to push me to another level. She’s been in the game for a long time and I can’t recommend her enough with whatever your fitness journey is!

The area for the machines is very spacious. It is very handy that the sauna is in the toilet area. It means separated women from men for those that feel more comfortable in that way.

Hannah Abercrombie - STAY AWAY!
Her and her partner recently fled Sydney and closed down a gym overnight without anyone knowing. They have ran away with peoples paid in full memberships and cut all contact with members. She has also frauded her ex clients from the gym! Members and Gym staff, please stay away from her!

Contains most of the equipment you would expect to see in a good gym. Multiple squat racks, a path to do walking lunges, adequate amount of benches for free weights. The only thing I think they are lacking is a seated shoulder press rack. It's a bit tricky to drag one of the benches across the gym to do seated shoulder press within one of the squat racks.

Warning re: reformer marketing- Don't get the premium membership which 'allows' you to go for reformer. You can get the basic one and basically pay a really cheap fee for a pass for one class, and buy as many as you want. They really sell hard reformer but there are barely any classes, at most I can book 2-3 classes a week. My friends who paid the premium membership are looking to go elsewhere, since they paid for access to reformer but because there are a) barely any classes and b) anyone with a lower tier can buy a pass to get in c) heaps more signups recently, means it's actually a rip off for what it sells.
If you're paying $33-35 for the most expensive membership with 'unlimited reformer' but someone with a $16 membership (discounts been a big thing recently, and the top one wasn't eligible) can buy passes to come in, it's way cheaper to just pay the minimum and go when you can actually turn up- there's no priority even for the people who have to pay more than 2x that rate weekly.
Luckily I'm the lower-tier membership, but my friends who were paying for 'unlimited' have already looked elsewhere when their contract is up. At Kaya you pay $35 weekly but you can go 1x/day, at Virgin you can do 3 reservations at a time but there are so many morning and evening classes. I can even go to specific Pilates studios that don't have a contract-option but bill weekly and I'd still get more for my $$.
They don't even do two evening classes, or even a Friday evening class.

Otherwise, it's a basic gym with good equipment, great vibes and nice people but don't bother for reformer- you're wasting your money.

Good gym, friendly staff. Really enjoyed the dance class - Good to see such a big group attending but still a lot of space.

I've been a member at various gyms over the past 40 years and for my requirements, this gym is the best by far. Great equipment, plenty of duplicated free weights to ensure you don't need to queue for your next exercise and clean, organized layout. Staff are friendly and helpful, without being intrusive or obnoxious. Generally, all members are courteous and respectful of others with minimal angst in sharing equipment. I've achieved great results since joining this gym, mainly attributable to the high quality of the equipment and motivating environment.

I recently tore my calf muscle at South Melbourne Goodlife and I blown away with the concern and help from the staff especially Tom Grants! He actually called me at home after a few hours to check up on me and offer me more help if I needed it!

Thanks so much Tom.your a gentleman!

I'm delighted with the service, classes and equipment. I would definitely recommend goodlife south Melbourne to anyone, especially clients that are new to the gym scene. I have felt welcomed to classes and the staff on the front desk are always smiling and helpful.

Beware - I joined the Monthly membership, knowing I will have to cancel soon. But Goodlife has a sneaky way of charging for extra weeks even after a month's notice.

I ended up paying an extra $40 for no reason.

It's sad to see such a massive organisation trying to fleece people wherever possible.

The Manager Tom was nice and explained things, but it's the organisation that's terrible.
