AVOID AT ALL COST!
I used Michael Flahive to acquire finance.
Though successful, the experience was abysmal.
Communication was lacking severely from start to finish. Michael was always unavailable and unreachable. The loan process took many many months far more time than average and we had anything and everything he needed to him very promptly.
Through lack of better judgement we chose to use Michael a second time in hope that maybe we could build a relationship as we plan to pursue finance quite regularly as time goes on. The second experience was even worse than the former.
Not long after acquiring Michael hit us with a bill for the finance, which wasn’t necessary as he was paid in commission. We declined and shared our reasoning and he was accepting to that.
Once we sold the property, Michael again sent us an invoice for payment as their is a clawback from the banks because we terminated our loan early and Michael advised that this invoice would need to be paid at settlement.
Which was fair and reasonable, although un deserving given the services rendered.

After a couple of weeks and well before settlement Michael contacted us and threatened us. He mentioned he would be engaging a debt collector and also mentioned “it would be a shame for you to never be able to acquire finance again. ”
Very unprofessional and we were so taken aback.
We tried to speak to the management at RateOne to try work things out but they weren’t interested and never got back to us.
Please don’t make the same mistake we did.

Our mortgage broker at RateOne was Kosh Sothilingam. Kosh assisted my daughter and I to obtain a home loan for a house at Truganina. Kosh was fantastic. I don't believe we would have been succesful without someone like Kosh. Thank you Kosh! I thoroughly recommend Kosh and the team at RateOne to assist with financial matters. Peter Boyes

Great service, right from day one that I met Tedd and Catherine the service they provided was just exceptional and genuine. They took time to explain and tailor a loan that best suited my needs. Finally, the dream came true as a First Home Buyer.yes! We got a house key after settlement today.
We crossed this milestone in five months. No hassle during the loan process and the whole credit goes to one man Antony Allan and his team who made it easy to get pre approval in just 10 days which I would not have imagined otherwise. He changed us to be a serious house hunter. Also another thrilling day is the day when we received the Unconditional loan approval letter from bank exactly on that due date of contract to be signed and followed by FHOG approved from VIC Government. All this happend quickly and timely by Antony Allan. We are obliged to say big thanks to him. He is such a highly professional and expert to getting things done on time and he makes sure to keep us always informed with great clarity even before we ask. Highly recommended.
