Rasa Malaysian Cafe reviews
24Perfect! 10/5! Fantastic dishes, warm welcome and service, you can't find it bet anywhere else! It's cosy and family run, but very comfortable and easy to park
The best Mee Goreng ever.
Stunning Pad Thai.
Laksa was great.
The food really is amazing.
Seriously worth a visit. We decided we must make Rasa a regular.
Absolutely delicious food and delightful service. We had the laksa Siam, oyster omelette and lemongrass tumeric with lamb. All the dishes were mouthwatering especially the laksa.
Only complaints would be that some background music in the restaurant would be nice and some of the dishes were on the slightly expensive side. In saying that though we've paid far more for far less, so realistically 100% worth it.
Can't wait to come back and try more dishes.
I was pleasantly surprised at how unassuming the place looked from the external appearance. Once inside the restaurant, the one wait staff was friendly and efficient. The food was in fact quite deliciously good. We will come back again.
Food is always reliably good. Often new things to try. Great service and the owners/staff treat us like friends. Prices very reasonable.
One of the top Malaysian Restaurant in Melbourne. The food is fresh and simply delicious. Have spent my last few birthdays there. Eddie, Swee and Murni treats you like a guest and the food is prepared with love and passion. 5 stars
Had some of the most delicious take away ever from Rasa Rasa a couple of weeks back. Full of flavour, not too spice - absolutely freakin’ delicious!
Ate everything before thinking to take a picture
Had the assam laksa which was yum. Staff were nice and polite. Giving a 4 just cause it's a bit pricier than other places for the portion size.
Dined here for the first time tonight with a group of six, everything was delicious! We all couldn’t fault the food, and the service was thoughtful and friendly. Highly recommend!
A very different laksa compared to what I've ever had. It was thick and creamy and very flavoursome! The service and the lady owner was very friendly and helpful! At roughly $19 for a laksa, it was a little bit pricey in my opinion compared to the likes of laksa king for example. Will re-visit to try more dishes!
6 of us meet and staff are super helpful. Great food. Excellent value for money.
Leave room for devil chocolate cake
I'm a frequent customer at this restaurant. Some of my favorites are their oyster omelette, assam fish, laksa Siam and many more. Very delicious and authentic Malaysian food.
A humble but really tasty Malaysian restaurant that delivers on taste despite initial impressions. Classic example of a 'diamond in the rough' restaurant.
I came here for dinner because I had a craving for curry laksa. For some reason, all the Malaysian restaurants I used to go to are all closed so I decided to try this place. When I got there (at 6: 15 pm) the place was totally empty. The decor was also very simple and the menu looked pretty basic with minimal pictures. The staff however were very polite, friendly and helpful.
The food arrived fairly quickly and was very tasty. I ended up with several of their dishes, all of which were good, especially their Siam laksa. Most dishes allow you to specify your level of spiciness. I like spicy food but opted to go for medium in all the dishes which had a pleasant level of great without overwhelming the flavours.
The prices were also pretty reasonable and they did a fair trade in takeaway orders while we ate, despite nobody else coming to eat in while we were there.
All in all, I'd definitely come back here again and I'm surprised this place isn't more popular.
This place is absolutely amazing Great customer services and mind blowing tasty food. Ordered a K. L. Mee which was cooked just right and so full of flavours Definitely a must try dish. Strongly recommended
Everything I’ve ordered so far has been really delicious! Very authentic flavour and a real bright light during this lockdown. Looking forward to plenty more Laksa and Chicken rice in the future!
Got the Char kway teow, mee goreng, spicy fish and tofu mixed vegetables. It was amazing! So much flavour and so spicy. It is my favourite Malaysian restaurant in Melbourne by far, and has been for years now.
My family is from Malaysia too and they all love it as much as me too!
Feeling nostalgic about Malaysia? Go to this restaurant and have the classic dishes. I had the “o-chien” and “har mee” - deliciousness galore! Don’t expect fancy service here but instead you’ll find a friendly and polite lady who will make you feel like you’re eating home cooked meals.
Swee is the loveliest. The wait can be a little long depending on how busy it gets as it's a family run business. The food is worth the wait. My favourite is the steamed barramundi with rice and sambal kangkung. Then the apam which is the Malaysian pancake with the ice cream for dessert. We enjoyed the Kueh Dadar as a dessert (palm sugar and dessicated coconut in a green skin). If you're looking for individual meals, my aunt stands by the spicy prawn har mee. I love the hor fun. Ask for a recommendation if you can't decide.:)
Lovely food and friendly service. We've enjoyed their curry a few times and it is very good. Recommend the beef with mandarin sauce, scrumptious.
Best Malaysian in Melbourne. Authentic and delicious.
Friendly and attentive service. Lovely family restaurant
