Randstad Recruitment Agency Melbourne

I have had contact with Randstad over a few years now, but only had my first temp placement through them last year. My contact, Patrick Collins, is not only helpful but is honest and will tell you things straight - just like I like them to be! The support I got from him for my placement was above and beyond. I also found him easily contactable (unlike some other agencies I have dealt with in the past) and responsive. Added bonus is his sense of humour - which made it really pleasant to chat with him whenever the need arose. I can highly recommend them as a professional agency.

Patrick was fabulous to deal with, he spent the time to truly understand my skills and background, and the type of environment I work well in. He was very responsive every step of the recruitment process, and resolved all of my questions and concerns in a timely way. I'd give him 10 stars if it was an option!

It started out very positive. I had a great interview and was told that it looked like I was the successful candidate and that I would be given a contract of proposal shortly. That was over 2 weeks ago 5/5/23. Now I can’t get in contact with my consultant or anyone from Ranstad or even the place where I had the interview. I had told my employer that I had been offered the position but was waiting on the contract. Since then I’ve been treated like I was no longer part of the team. I’m constantly asked when I’m leaving. This has all come about because I was told that I had the job. Never trust this company until you at least have a contract in your hands

Don’t waste your time. Had an interview that went very well and was told they would be in touch to let me know the next steps, only for me to get ghosted. Incredibly difficult to get in contact with a single employee for any type of update and when I did, I was routinely told they would call me back by a certain date and that just never happened. I was constantly calling and chasing them up when the roles should have been reversed. No transparency and no respect for the people they’re dangling jobs in front of.

Got contacted by one of their consultants after applying for a role, who arranged for a face-to-face meeting the following week. I show up at their office for the appointment and it turns out she was away but I was never notified, so even though I got to speak to her colleagues, there was no point in me showing up at all. Heard nothing from the consultant for two weeks - until she finally set up a time for a call the following week. The day arrives, at around 4pm she sent an email postponing the call to the next day. Again, no contact at all since. No apologies, no explanation, nothing. Pretty sure I'm going to avoid any of the roles advertised with them in the future - dealing with them is just a waste of time.

Terrible agency.never been communicated to and updated after applying weeks ago.however, they do text you that they have opportunities 'suited for me' and to 'get in contact', however in a completely opposite field (civil engineering) to what i do? Make it make sense

Absolute joke, will lie to you and tell you that they have candidates for you. Then never get back to you with any CVs, had to use another agency.

Rude, unresponsive and unprofessional. Been dealing with a Fatima. Would not recommend the company to potential clients and job seekers. Very bad.

Rubish agency that have no respect for people that wants a job, contacted by Fatima Amerjee to complete online induction assessment Once completed you will never hear anything back from them, they just gather information and offer no work, stay clear from these guys.

Absolutely unprofessional stay right away. The consultants like to play games with the candidates this company should not be in the employment industry.

Worked for this company for a number of years, can absolutely confirm they treat their staff horribly, management take credit for everything and do nothing, pay is shocking compared to other places. They say they are about culture and people but really they are all about the money and dispose of people when they are losing money.

Advertise roles that are 'filled yesterday' when you enquire, though the ad in question is continuously reposted online. Difficult to contact and talk to the right consultant, had the experience of the woman that answered the phone (rudely) tell me to call back as the consultant I was trying to contact wasn't in.
They then emailed me a standard form, and asked for details including a copy of my driver's licence and my bank account details, which I refused to supply.
Don't bother with this company in your job search.

I was on hold for just over 5 minutes yesterday without the call being taken by Reception.

I called back later and was transferred to Hannah Ebers extension as requested. I left a voicemail for a return call.

Having not received a return call, I called again today and left another voicemail message on Hannah Ebers extension. I have still not been contacted.

I've had a wonderful experience with Ranstand. They have been so supportive with everything that I've needed and they basically got me my dream job in Victoria. Lucas and Alex were absolutely wonderful and I cannot say enough about them.

Beyond shocking. They had my resume for 18 months and didn't manage to get me ONE interview. I'm very experienced in my field and they assured me they would find something. They never followed up on anything. Jono was useless. Absolute waste of time. Luckily I found a very good job through my own connections, but they truly were an absolute joke to deal with.

I want to thank Elliot Johnston for his excellent service on my job search. He was very professional and informative throughout the recruitment process. He always returned my calls instantly and followed up on my interview continuously. Also big thank to Randstad team for their excellent service. I highly recommend Elliot and team at Randstad to anyone who seek their service.

Assignment was at very short notice. Process was very smooth, unlike some other recruiters I have dealt with. Julia was a pleasure to deal with, very happy. Thanks again.

Payments delayed for 2 weeks straight, invested into a work trip without being paid, not being reimbursed for travel expenses after 3 weeks (still yet to be reimbursed), was not able to contact the designated consultant for over 2 weeks and was not supplied with a temp consultant, completely unprofessional agency with no duty of care to their people. The amount of hardship this agency has put my family and I through will never be forgotten. The above discrepancies have been submitted to FairWork Australia.

Was forced into a role that I wasn't sure about. When I tried to voice that not only was I sure this wasn't the position for me, their client was expressing racism towards me and I wasn't comfortable at all. They replied 'what about the client? ' It's like they blamed me and I was in a very uncomfortable situation, yet they still supported their client in trying to keep me there and subject me to more racism. So I stayed one more day to make Randstad look good - until they found another temp.and then I never even got paid for the 3 days total work. I called and emailed and they just ignored me. I then just gave up and luckily I secured another position and trying to put this bad experience behind me. Very poor service and conduct.
