Dropped in to check out this place as I love anything BBQ. Didn’t disappoint waiters suggestion was good. Reasonably priced. Would recommend and go again

Had the meat platter for 2. Was cooked perfectly. Very generous potions. Service was good.

Definitely recommend

Had dinner here on a weeknight and couldn’t fault any part of the meal. 4 of us had the banquet, which was mostly meat with some roast vegetables and everything was perfect. Tender chicken, chorizo with just the right amount of kick, delicious ribs and steak. The service was fast, friendly, helpful and not at all intrusive. We didn’t need dessert, but we ordered churros anyway, they were delicious. The atmosphere was great and the music was fun, a good selection of spirits and beers. If there was one small issue it was that the table wasn’t big enough for all the food in the banquet, but that would only be if we were looking for something to improve. Thanks again to the fun, attentive staff, great job!

The only thing that could possibly be better than the food here is the hospitality from Michael! From start to finish Rancho is the definition of doing things properly.

With a simple yet solid menu of meat options to the custom made parilla fired by Argentinian charcoals that burn clean and white like binchotan, rancho just executes with perfection.

The meats came to us perfectly cooked to medium rare and had that unmistakeable smokey char that comes from cooking over clean coals.

Another great sign of a well run restaurant are the sides, and they unlocked a new flavour combo for us with their perfect chunky chips paired with blue cheese sauce. An incredible combo that we wont soon forget.

Its a little far away from the heart of Melbourne, but for the keen golfers visiting the world class Peninsula- Kingswood (PK) golf club, now you know theres also a world class steak house just down the road!

We have been here before and it was really good.
Tonight they could not get it right.
At first the ribs were really tough. I mean I could not cut them with a steak knife. They were not slow cooked.
The corn was excellent.
The eye fillet steaks were a disaster. Medium was well done or rare, blue was rare at best. The meat quality was great - the cooking was all wrong.
I was recommended a barrossa Shiraz but it was a $10 wine we paid $35 for.
This was disappointing as previous visits have been good
The wait staff were great … maybe this was just a bad night, but I had brought friends and work colleagues on my recommendation… I felt dissatisfied.

I'm a BBQ foodie so I am difficult when it comes to BBQ. We purchased one of the baskets/ grills for 2 people. Food portions were great but the bbq was nothing special. Same quality that you can get at any backyard BBQ.

The food here is delicious.best steak I've had on the peninsula and the price is even better, service is friendly and efficient.highly recommend

Traditional fare for charcoal grill meat lovers in particular, with Tapas and a range of mains which will please those who prefer other than red meat. Table Grill for two will challenge most to complete, but you can take away to enjoy later. Wine list was a pleasant surprise especially the Australian reds. No light beer unfortunately.
Overall a great night out for those seeking a smallish venue with excellent facilities and fair to good value for money. Toilets are upstairs so not accessible to all. Good service in current understaffed hospitality environment.

Tasty food and great service. The owner was lovely and really made dinner an enjoyable experience. The portions are large and everything tastes amazing, especially the chips and ribs. Would recommend trying this place out.
