Rainbow Meats Chirnside Park

Was excited to try this place, asked in great detail about what I could get that was gluten free as I have a daughter with celiacs disease. Was told 100 percent by staff that what I was buying was gluten free, even had the butcher come out and confirm this. They even said you don’t need to keep asking as we have gluten free stickers on the back of the labels and the only thing we sell with gluten is the souvlaki meat. Had the satay chicken sticks tonight and had a celiac reaction. My poor daughter was constantly throwing up and had diarrhoea. Celiac reactions happen around 3 hours after having gluten. Which was right on time. The vomit also has a very distinctive smell, and this happens for a long period of time. I’m so upset as this is the last thing we need to deal with just after our son getting out of the royal children’s children’s hospital after as accident. Won’t be able to feed her any of the $133 of meat I bought because I can’t risk her getting sick again.

Worst customer service I’ve ever had. The short middle age butcher with the hat forward was abusive and has no customer service skills at all. Shouldn’t be talking to customers let alone yelling at them from the back.

As mentioned in certain reviews, terrible customer etiquette. Beware of unpleasant big sized lady staff in red jacket, unless you'd like to have your day ruined ;)

Buy our meat here every week, staff are lovely and friendly. Tonight hubby decided he wanted to treat us to eye fillet, absolutely beautiful piece of meat. Yes it is an expensive cut but still half what we would have paid in a restaurant and better than most of them as well.

A big thank you to the staff at Rainbow Meats. Our BBQ at work was the talk of the day, to see people with big piles of meat on plates and in bread plus smiles and compliments on how good the meat tasted was really great to see. Other departments were jealous and I am sure you will get more business from staff here. Great job, thanks heaps.

Great butcher which offers a large variety of meat, customer service was nice all round. Will be back.

I always have a good experience from this store. The meats quality are great and the best part is their customer service. All the staff are so friendly and helpful.

Best Schnitzel this side of the blackstump. Great quality breadcrumbs every time. Service with a smile.

I asked for a 400g steak and the lady suggested that the butchers will cut me a fresh one.took it home and cooked it. Was the best peice of steak eaten in a long time.thanks guys

Great range - innovative regarding offers and rewards. Meat cut old style (not cardboard thin like Coles and Woolies). Or cut to your desire. Friendly and helpful staff and supporter of local community clubs! Great stuff Frank Russo!

I always buy chicken from this butcher, but today the chicken (wings and drumstick) was really pale and not fresh at all, I’m not sure if it’s still edible or not. Normally their products always fresh. They should not sale anything when they know the meats is off, don’t tricks customers with the cheap price

My husband bought a Bolar roast beef today from Rainbow meats at Chirnside Park, it was the worst roast I have had for decades. It was tough, chewy and inedible. Very disappointed.

Fantastic service this morning. The lady signed us up to their member card which saved us $30. We then left to buy some groceries from coles/woollies and could not find the cooking twine, as we left I quickly asked if they sold any. Without any hesitation she just gave us some to take home.
This store has always reminded me why we should buy from a local butcher!
