Radii Restaurant & Bar reviews
17We enjoyed a very extensive breakfast buffet as part of our stay at the Park Hyatt. The range of items fully met our expectations from previous stays - constantly high standard!
Back here again, and keep coming back year after year when in Melbourne - ticks all the boxes - relaxed, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, timely but not rushed, and the food - inventive, fresh, quality, perfect portions and delicious
We dined at Radii last night. Every dish was phenomenal. The beef tartare started was the best we’ve had. The chicken main was divine. Service was so prompt and polite. Can’t wait to return.
After a terrible experience at a so called 5 star Italian restaurant in Melbourne last night at nearly $300 what a refreshing change to dine at Radii tonight. Ambience great, service great and food sublime at half the price of last nights debacle; Of note the Harissa chicken and the Gnocchi. So good and served with a smile and unlike last nite with cloth napkins. Merry Christmas to all at Radii
We dined at Radii for lunch on Christmas Day, buying one the lunch packages that included drinks (over $400 per person). Our previous experience of this lunch in 2021 was very positive but this year was a disappointment. We were seated for 45 minutes before the first course was served. There was no French champagne (just cheap Australian sparkling wine), no bon bons and a trimmed down menu. Everything was noticeably downgraded from the previous year but the price increased. The one good thing that we really enjoyed was the music, the band was excellent. We don’t plan to return next Christmas.
My family and I love dining here for a special treat. We came for an ad hoc dinner after a day in the city. Don't ever change Radii and Park Hyatt, we love you!
Thank you for making yesterday evening celebration family dinner very special. The service was brilliant as was the food and ambience. We all look forward to returning
I happened to celebrate my birthday dinner here at Raadi Restaurant a week ago where dinner was served beautifully and came in a very decent portion. The staff were attentive and work professionally and efficiently.
Started with the long paddock cheese to share, followed with the Rib Eye steak with grilled carrots and herbs as the main, and closed with chocolate tart with salted caramel slice as the dessert, all I can say that all of them are marvelous and wonderfully executed.
It am definite it would be an unforgetable birthday dinner celebratory. Would recommend to friends? Certainly, would come back for other occasion? Absolutely.
Having visited this restaurant quite a few years back when we stayed at the hotel, we were very excited to come back, and sadly my memories exceeded this experience.
My husband had 6 oyster at 7$ a pice and crayfish @ 100$, so this is not the place for a cheap date for sure. I settled for the whiting. Everything was tasty, and our waitress Lucy was a pure delight.
The dining room was very bright and we had a loud party next to us, despite the restaurant not being very full, thankfully they left half way though our meal.
My husband had the cheese board for dessert, and I had the cake, which was the highlight of my meal, very yummy.
We also shared a bottle of good wine.
For the money we spent I would have expected more, especially regarding the ambiance of the place, and I will probably not return, despite the food being good and the service very good.
A big thank you to Chef Sandeep and team for an amazing culinary treat at Radii the newly refurbished fine dining restaurant at Park Hyatt Melbourne. The restaurant was closed for almost three years and has come back with a bang under his leadership. Radii is a beautiful upscale modern European restaurant with opulent art deco-inspired themes giving a relaxed yet luxurious experience. We discovered this hidden gem by chance while meeting a friend at the hotel. We went there with mixed feelings only to be pleasantly surprised by the sensational food and hospitality. The menu was limited, and we started with a few small plates matched with some exceptional wines. We had the Hiramasa Kingfish Crudo, and Chicken Parfait and both firmly made us believe we were in for a treat. Indigenous to Australia's Spencer Gulf, Yellowtail Kingfish is revered locally and internationally, and its buttery sweet, rich, clean flavour was complemented well by the namjim dressing. The dressing was a fragrant smooth blended nam jim with beautiful notes of fresh chillies, basil and coriander which went perfectly well with the raw fish. The chicken liver parfait was just another level. Rich and creamy with a slight sweetness from port wine but delightfully light on the palate and disappeared in no time with the warm brioches. Chef Sandeep came to our table and explained to us the concept and essence of the restaurant and how they support the environment through sustainability. For example, all ingredients right from the Kurobutta prosciutto to the dark chocolate are sourced locally, cutting down on the otherwise food miles. He spoke about the inspiration behind the pairings and helped us choose the mains - the Murray Cod on cherry wood and Gnocchi with morel mushrooms. The cod was perfectly cooked with crispy skin and a light smokiness served with a petite herb salad and lemon caper butter sauce. The gnocchi was deeply earthy, flavoured with morel mushrooms, brown butter, and pecorino sauce served on a bed of parsley pesto - simply mind-blowing.
For dessert, we chose the chocolate tart served with a caramel sauce, mousse like light ganache, crisp tuille and gold leaf. The deep rich chocolate and the slightly salty caramel are a classic well-cherished pairing. Chef Sandeep sent us a complimentary dessert, a refreshing blood orange gelato topped with bruleed meringue, a beautiful epilogue to the meal.
It was a great experience at radii with professional service and exceptional food and is highly recommended to all foodies.
Breakfast Package was awesome, staff ultra helpful, unlimited barista cofffffeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzz
Had friends come for a holiday and we spoiled ourselves to eat here and what a wonderful place and experience with service, friendly staff, the vibe was warm and welcoming, so glad we chose to eat here?
Beautiful restaurant with a romantic ambience. We had a dinner on a Saturday night. We found food to of top quality, each dish was well prepared. Every staffs are friendly and professional. We had Kelly looking after our table and she was very attentive. Cocktails were also beautiful (and delicious too), even a Pimms cup was a work of art. Overall a pleasant experience, highly recommended.
High tea this afternoon was amazing. Beautiful food, fantastic service. The staff were wonderful, they made it a very special experience for my friends and I. Thank you!
This place was relatively deserted when I ate here. I ate here for both dinner and breakfast. I had an okay steak for dinner and decent glass of wine. Service was attentive throughout the meal and professional. For breakfast, I had a made-to-order omelette, which was quite good. I also took advantage of the breakfast buffet. While the spread was relatively small, it was okay for quality. I've seen way better buffets. Overall, there was nothing to complain about for my dining experience here, but it feels as if this restaurant is missing the "wow factor. "
Five Star all the way
Romantic place
Great for a nice quiet night out with a loved one
It was our 44th wedding anniversary & expected to have a lovely evening, but unfortunately it was totally disappointing. Firstly for a Saturday night the place was basically empty. Waiter was pleasant but young & inexperienced. Entree was superb (pate) so expected main (risotto) to be the same. Risotto was in a pea consomme with asparagus. Rice was hard. Meal was tasteless & to make things worse the asparagus was cut in half. Which would be fine except only the ends were on the plate & not the tops. What chef cuts asparagus in half & then doesn't put the tops on the plate. I told the head waiter who offered us a free dessert but really should have taken this meal off our bill. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTING & OBVIOUSLY WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. To top it off had a screaming child at another table whose parents didn't try to stop it from screaming! Don't waste your time or money. Made for a very unhappy Anniversary dinner.
