RAAF Memorial and Museum reviews
7Wish i had the opportunity to come here. It is only open Fridays and weekends: (I arrived this morning (Tuesday) and was so saddened to see it does not open til Friday!: (I will probably never be in Mildura ever again in my life, so i am sad about this. Im sure it is absolutely amazing too.
Very small museam. Mostly photos of things or models not many actual displays. No aircraft or vehicles here. It's maybe a 5 minute visit.at most 15 if you read everything.
I am very interested because l want to going in that place so I am waiting. If I big man. Then I will going.so I am very excited to that place.wow!
A step back in time into what it was like during WWII.
The RAAF huts are as they were in the 1940's.
You may even find records of a past relation that was stationed here.
We did.
An ex PM was stationed and learned to fly here.
Please make sure that you allocate at least 2 hours to appreciate what is on display.
To the volunteers, thank you for assisting to retain this history.
I know these Museums cannot exist without dedicated volunteers, but we were disappointed to go there yesterday (Sunday 10: 30 26th July) to find a sign on the door that says permanently closed during the pandemic. An up date on the website is all that's needed. Hopefully we will get to see it one day, however the website is very good! Cheers Gary
Ps I need to clarify that. The drop down info on maps still has the Museum open on certain days. Which is what I relied on. The website itself, has the closed notice.
