Quan Lua reviews
44Ordered their signature dish the bun cha hanoi, after reading lots of raving reviews. The grilled pork belly is juicy and smoky, perfectly balanced with the fish sauce. Customer service was quick and friendly, will be back to try the other items on the menu.
The best Bun Cha I've ever tried in Melbourne, amazing fish sauce with deliciously grilled patties. One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants so far, their Bun Dau Mam Tom is also really good, the service is quick and the food is always served hot and ready. 10/10
A small restaurant close the shopping mall, at first I thought it was closed because the door was partly covered with sunshade but it was actually open. Went on a Monday night and it was busy, but I managed to get a table without queing. Because of the reviews, I had their broken rice pork chop, and yes I have to say the pork chop is one of the best I had. Nicely marinaded and wasnt dry or tough. Tried tamarind ice drink and it was beautiful and you got to eat the little dried? Tamarind things at the bottom of the glass as dessert! Very happy with the value.
Today came here for breakfast, and ordered the Shaking Beef and Rice. Rice was perfectly cooked, fluffy white. The beef is tender, succulent. But the sauce is alright. Definitely reminds me of Bo Kho. The service was not bad. Able to get my order and receive my dish. Overall it's a place you can go, if there aren't any Vietnamese restaurants open around here.
Oct2023 -back to try some other dishes. I had Bun Rieu cua Dong while hubby had Bun cha Hanoï. I can vouch for thé deliciousness of mine.
Good value for money
This stretch of restaurants has unusual Vietnamese food. Dishes you can only get in Vietnam - variety according to the restaurants here. Try them out one by one. I am trying out Quan Lua today and I think I will not be disappointed
Food looked and smelled so good here, we ordered 3 mains between 2 people.
Great value and totally worth it. This place reminded me of the food I ate when I holidayed in the outskirts of Saigon many years back. Will be back. Cảm ơn!
Bit small but the best Vietnamese restaurant I know of
Be early, it's usually packed at peak hours
The bbq pork chop is very tasty, with broken rice pack (cơm tấm) reminds me of the flavours authentic to Vietnam (smokey chargrilled). I particularly liked the bún đậu mắm tôm (not for the light hearted) but it is delish. Will be going back to try their other dishes.
I've been trying to hunt down a good Bun Cha Hanoi ever since I went to Vietnam but generally have minimal luck. The one here at Quan Lua is almost exactly what I was after, thank you so much
The restaurant was consistently busy which is a great sign and everything coming out of the kitchen smelt amazing.
Did not think Vietnamese food was this flavourful. Wow! Pork chop and meatloaf are very nice.
All their dishes are delicious and the service is fantastic. Quite possibly my favourite place to dine in Springvale
Food definitely makes up for the not the most attentive service. We had to ask for tea 3 times.
Highly recommend the bun cha hai noi. The meat was so tender and flavoursome. Loved it. The broken rice also extremely tasty.
Great value for money too. Between 4 of us we spent $25 for 4 dishes and 1 entree plus drinks.
Delicious dishes! Hot tea on the table. The roasted pork chops are so amazingly delicious. And beef is so tender and juicy. Great food.
Meh
Food was ok. One dish took an age which was annoying having 1 person waiting for dish. Soup was ok. Not pictured was also charcoal chicken and noodles. Chicken was bland needed alot of chilli sauce.
Not recommended. No customer service, make sure to double check your bill and your changes because if you not noticed they will overcharged you.
First visit Sep 2022. Weekend. Understaffed but food amazing. It seems that there's always a queue outside so be ready to wait a while during peak hours. Food is definitely worth the wait though. The pork chop is ridiculous good. Definitely switching to this place next time.
Hidden gem. Has some unique dishes on the menu. Great food, authentic tastes, generous portions, amazing value. No surcharge for card payments above $20. We enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back to try the other dishes.
Always has a long queue. Need to beat the dinner line get there early. Nice smell of pork chop. Tried few items with a star on the menu. Smells, Taste and look good. But the pork chop was a little dry. The salad is definitely good. Will eat again. Not a fan of the crab meat noodle. Good value.
Authentic Vietnamese food, had the main signature dishes here and could not fault them. Great value for what you get. If you plan to come during peak times, expect to be waiting some time (outside) as inside seating is scarce.
Small restaurant but big taste! Prices were very reasonable and portions were a good size. Service was prompt and friendly. Go early as there are not many seats in the restaurant. Toilets are in the rear of the restaurant (walk out and around the building). Will be back to try other options available.
