So glad my first experience at a veitemese restaurant was
Quan 88. Waiter selected some popular dishes for us. Spot on.
Meals were beautiful. Service was fantastic. Great pours of vodka.
Is a must do on my next trip to Melobourne.

Been recommended by many locals to try, the spicy quail and crispy chicken wings were delicious. However perhaps there’s an understaffing issue, Ordered a main meal and hadn’t received it until an hour and fifteen minutes later.

Such a great restaurant, couldn’t recommend this more highly, excellent food, super quick and friendly service, so glad I live around the corner. It’s must visit for Vietnamese food in St Kilda

Quan 88 is a hidden gem in St Kilda that offers a truly delightful Vietnamese dining experience. My wife and I visited this restaurant for a Sunday lunch, and we were blown away by the amazing food and top-notch service.
We started off with the Quail with Spicy 88 Sauce, and it was hands down the best dish we had during our entire visit. The flavours were perfectly balanced, and the quail was cooked to perfection. We couldn't get enough of it!
For our mains, we tried the Saigon Crispy Pork with Tamarind Sauce and the Combination Seafood with Lemongrass and Chilli. The crispy pork dish was simply superb. The combination seafood dish was a sizzler and packed with incredible flavours of lemongrass and chilli. Although the Combination Soft Egg Noodles had a bit too much protein and less noodles, the overall taste was still good.
We also had the opportunity to try the Chicken Pho, and it was hands down one of the best pho dishes we've ever had in Melbourne. The soup was fresh, not overly salty, and had a subtle sweetness that elevated the flavours. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient. The staff members were attentive and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The dishes came out promptly, which was impressive considering the restaurant's busy atmosphere.
In terms of pricing, Quan 88 offers excellent value for money. The quality of the food, coupled with the generous portion sizes, makes it a fantastic option for those seeking authentic Vietnamese cuisine without breaking the bank.
Overall, our experience here was nothing short of fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was vibrant. If you're looking for a place to enjoy Vietnamese food in St Kilda, I highly recommend Quan 88 to all foodies.

I’m a Uber eats rider. The lady stuff so rude to deliveries food riders. Unprofessional, she doesn’t care about to delivery too riders.

Consistently great Pho, follows requests, delicious broth and portions are more generous (and in line) with what I would expect for the price than in the local area of St Kilda. Highly recommend, a favourite!

The soup of its pho is one of the best in Melbourne, which is fresh, not overly salty, and subtly sweet. Btw, strongly recommend a dish called Eggplant Stuffed Prawn!

Here the food and ambience are quite good, but can't say as much regarding the attitude of some of the staff. Ambience, and respect from staff are as important as how food tastes. If I'm not made to feel welcome, then eating, no matter how divine the food is, isn't pleasant.

We ordered salt and pepper tofu, spring rolls, Vietnamese coleslaw and Jasmine rice. We dined at around 9pm, Sat 22nd April 2023.

Not the best welcome. Went with my family expecting a good dinner. Took them 45 minutes to serve 2 Pho and the waiter went pass the table never questioning why we haven't been served. The manager kept saying 2 minutes since they have lost the docket. They were 2 interstellar minutes. First time and last one unfortunately.

Reliable, consistent and reasonably authentic Vietnamese food in St Kilda. I have been here on a few other occasions when visiting Melbourne, and look forward to returning.
One of the waiters on this visit was more than a little brusk and bordered on the unfriendly, however he seemed to be an outlier and was atypical of the usual staffing.
Food for us with a rather unadventurous American couple was fine, and lured me to visit for a 'quick Phò' ' on my own the following night. Although very early in the evening, the place was already packed and many patrons were turned away without a booking.
Food was good, service is (normally) friendly and efficient.

We went here with a couple of friends and was presently surprised with the quality. It’s cheap but the quality is superb. I’d recommend the crispy chicken wings.
